I've only seen bits and pieces of Bleach, and I can tell Ichigo and Rukia are meant to be together. The red trail of spirit particles confirmed it for me because in Japan a red thread is the symbol of lovers:)

Ichigo looks like someone just took his heart in their hand and crushed it into dust at 4:59. He looks so utterly defeated. But he gets his resolve back and saves rukia thanks to his stubborness.

Ichiruki's definetly gonna happen. One of thems just gotta stop being so stubborn and admit their feelings already though. you can tell kons completely right when he says "its not your wounds hurting you its your heart." you only see ichigo look so broken and defeated when rukia's nearly dead or he feels responsible for her getting hurt.
