@LBentertainmentLAN Wieso denn nicht im roten Bereich schalten, wenn man einen 0-100 Sprint hinlegt? Wenn der Motor warm ist, kann er das ab. Der "rote" Bereich ist heutzutage viel früher aufgemalt. Da wo es für den Motor kritisch wird, wird abgeregelt. Ist also kein Problem, solange man nicht länger und ständig in den roten dreht.

Your words are all true, BUT, what I´m talking is about reliability, not performance.

I think that that engines produced after 2009 are better, with it´s very well known problem with pulley tensor, timing, and anti polution alert. There are full of pages and forums with hundreds of owners that reported many problems. In fact I have the internal peugeot bulletin with the "how to" correct this problems with new crankase pulley, new tensor etc...Chek out Mini Cooper british forums...

THP engines are crap, nothing personal, I love the design of the Peugeot 207 RC and RCZ, but all cars that have this THP engine in ALL Peugeot verisions (150, 156, 175 and 200 hp) Citroen versions (DS3) and Mini Coopers S have engines failures...

And those are not my words, but words of car reviewers who tested them. No other small turbo engine has such a flat power curve without losing power at high revs like TSI's do. This engine pulls equally from 1500 to 6500 rpm, it consumes very little fuel, its smoothest of all small turbo engines and has the highest power/ccm ratio.

The RCZ 200HP is a great little car and knockers should take one for a drive. I guarantee you will come back smiling. So, 0-100 in 7.5 isn't class leading, but how much time do you honestly spend on a dragstrip? The performance feels entirely adequate when you are driving it and the RCZ runs on the smell of an oily rag.

This car looks like an Audi TT, but is much nicer to look at. I have Corolla TS, only 192 hp, I think the speed is simular, but the ride will be better in yours, I guess. The Corolla feels a little numb in the bends, this Peugeot probably won't.

You can't make a conclusion about the sensation that a car provides in absolute measure. That's the problem these days...They all look for 0-100 times, or top speed - they don't care about how the car makes them feel - You can have your golfs or your tts but i would choose everytime the RCZ in order to have on a mountain road the feeling of the RCZ's hydraulically assisted steering wheel, and the feeling of it's wonderfully balanced chassis being tackled in the corners.

The RCZ may feel a bit better in the corners, but come on, the TT 2.0 sounds better, accelerates (way) better and has a better overall quality. If its just fun in the corners what you look for, there are still way better and cheaper cars than the RCZ.

I totally agree with you. People these days just process performance indicative numbers and categorize the cars accordingly. But imho that's because most of people that comment don't even have a car or don't have a car that belongs in the same basket. Although I cannot comment on the RCZ on a personal level, I love how the car looks :)

Hey man, I have an rcz myself, diesel Le mans edition (rare series). Not one piece of the car is made of plastic!

I will upload the video soon as I've mentioned and prove this. The interior is all in leather, all of it! The buttons are of some kind of light metal..? Not plastic! The car runs 0-60 in 6.1 sec and the top speed is 247 km/h. My car is made in Austria, don't know about these UK imports? Guess there is a huge difference then! I live in Belgrade, Serbia for an info. Also own Nissan GTR
