In most states, the only thing felons have to do to vote is complete their sentence, be released from service, and reregister to vote. Nothing illegal about it.
Felons are allowed to vote in almost every state, only the most backwards of states disallow voting by felons.
I know a lot of Republicans are ignorant hicks, but seriously...
This isn't illegal. Indeed, it is arguable that by promoting the misconception that felons cannot vote, you are violating their civil rights and yourself committing a crime by attempting to illegally disenfranchise them and influence elections.
What?? in some states convicted felons can vote!. Im sure this will be good news for Barney Frank , Chris Dodd , Chuck Schumer , Franklin Rains , Jim Johnson. For someday "hopefully" soon they too will be convicted felons.
Please take a moment and search the internet for "felony disenfranchisement". You'll find only two states take away convicted felon's voting rights for life.
In certain states, felons are allowed to vote if they're not currently serving time or on parole.
Assuming this is one of those states, their actions are completely legitimate and just part of an effort to make sure that everyone who CAN vote knows it.
If Felons can vote, then they need ALL rights [Gun rights] back.Maybe that will change some minds on the subject.
