It looks DELICIOUS.. burghul is like rice or something? i would love to this recepie but i dont know where to find Burghul do they sell it in the arabic stores?
You need to wash the parsley before chopping it so that the soil in the green leaves wont penetrate the roots or leaves of the parsley while chopping it before washing...this is good information.
vito9000, no doubt the parsley i use is always washed thoroughly ! You should never eat any greens without washing them first. thanks for the useful info :)

Mimi, you didnt tell us how you made the burghul.. I know you soaked it... But I dont know what did you soak it in... It seemed like lemon juice or water maybe.. And for how long did you soak it ?
I have everything else ready to make my taboula.. Hope you reply soon , it's iftar time already, but im by myself, no big deal :P
I just went to your blog and found out how you soaked it.
I will add 1 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice to 1 cup of Burghul and soak it for 20 minutes, then add all the ingredients together and leave them for another 20 minutes then EAT :D !! haha

Yet I was suprised to see how making Taboula and preparing is not as easy as I thought.. When I called my mum in Kuwait telling her I cooked Taboula she was laughing telling me, Taboula is not a cooking recipe, it's a "simple" salad lol !! haha
Great, i am glad the recipe worked out for you and you managed to make it your own by adding Lemons. and your mom is right, it is a salad,not a meal that you spend hours cooking :)
