  • Good bloody shot whoever did it!!

  • @goetterwind Actually, he was shot in the head before this battle. He survived but it was believed his judgement and personality was changed after that. He broke his own rule to follow that plane and he was killed by ground fire.

  • @Sykrex there is no proof that he was shot by the ground was there? And how would someone shoot him from the ground if he was shot around the heart and lungs? I dont see no proof it was from the ground

  • @tp2mp1 An Australian Machine Gunner shot him and it was proven, but some don't believe it. The .202 Vickers bullet went through the fuselage and hit him under his right armpit and exited out of his left nipple, clearly showing an angled shot.

  • @Sykrex First, I don't think there was a Vickers .202. Second, aircraft can roll so the angle of the shot is irrelevant unless the plane was on the ground.

  • @tp2mp1 fuck off ,he was killed from the ground.look at the entry and exit wound.

  • MvR was a gentleman warrior. He fought with honor until the end...

  • on a way... it's kind a sad right?

  • Von Richthofen never got over his injury on his head - he got into a reflex of hunting and pursued his prey over the enemy lines. That was his death...

  • Great video. Except that the original commentator made several errors Lothar, Manfred's brother only had 40 victories. And dckaruga was right. Mannock made the derogatory comment about The Red Baron, not McCudden

  • ground fire 50% captain brown 50%

  • Mannock made the statement not McCudden, this show is really botched togeather badly!
