I can't believe people on here are actually acting like accords hold a candle to any z car. I have a 1990 non turbo z that has spanked every accord that's tried. Although it's so far from stock it isn't even fair. Shit my wife's maxima would spank any accord too. Lol

I got a Accord v6 coupe 2010. I beat already 350z , STis , EVO 8 9 10 ... And this only with a intake. Right now im in my deployment... But when i come back II really wants to beat is fucking Supras , Mustang Cobras, Corvettes and Vipers... So beware... I ll ...
@PRarmy82 The Accord V6 is a 14 second car, you must have beaten shitty drivers.... when driven correctly those are 13 second cars, I know a guy with an 8 second Evo with full interior on pump gas, that isn't possible with any Honda.
@98MAzdaMilleniaS well idk, cuz a 2010 accord like the guy u replied to had, has a 3.5L V6 engine putting out about 270 hp with VTEC and all that good stuff..but the rear wheel drive(350z) and 4WD (sti or evo) usually would hav an advantage off the line so it could be close!
Assumming all Accords come with the option to turn traction on and off...there should be a button to the left of the steering wheel. Press and hold it down until you hear a beap. Then if should be off. Repeat to turn back on.
@ousoonerbg the new 370z would kill the honda but being a honda guy i would say the accord is roomier and not as much of a racer car tho they are fast just like my 97 accord v6
gay auto...real drivers get stick if u trying to race get a stick if u just cruise auto okay. damn computer doing all the work, stick shows ur driving skills.
loving that car i have a 2000 3litre V6 coupe, honda dont sell the coupes over here in the uk anymore thinking of importing one. best accord we have here is 2.4 vtec they even dropped the type R over here and the legend.
@bigboyghosty seriously I wish the Accord Type R would return. Over hear the sportiest accord we have is the Acura TSX (Euro Spec Accord) and honestly it's okay but it's not a type r.

They're both Honda engines. I'm just saying that although the J sounds better, the K can make more power due to more aftermarket support. Let's keep it simple and not go into a debate. The J, HOWEVER, is better for power in the box stock.
@ArtemiyPavlov VQ35HR and VQ37 in the Z and G ? Audi S5 ? BMW M3 ? Camaro ZL1 ? This is an old account so ignore the name.... I used to own a 2006 Acura RL, although it's engine with buttery smooth it had nothing down low or mid-range, it was all top end. I now own a 2008 G35 6MT, the engine is a different animal. It sounds so much more raucious and is SO much torquier !! It feels more powerful too given it's not as refined as my old RL, but it sounds so much better from the outside !
ya i know its manual i mentioned it in my previous comments. and the accord isnt a 4.0 liter engine its a 3.5 V6. hey, but the auto accords aint bad either they aint really fast like the manual accords but they are pretty quick and sure as hell got a ton of power
get out of here. my dad has the s500 and i have an accord. driven both. floored both. s500 is def quicker and much smoother. that driver in the s500 did not floor his tell u that much
When I took this video I had a cat-back exhaust where I put larger pipe from the cat back. Since then I've added "Borla" mufflers which gave it a much deeper sound. I'll post a video soon with the Borla.
i have exchanged my 07 accord seadan v6 in silver with 2009 accord coupe v6 in cbp.
2007 has 244 hp
2009 has 271 hp
both auto. if the 07 accord v6 has the same power of the 2009 then i can say i would beat 09 accord manul any time. 07 accord is the best in term of acceleration.
Concerning the Coupe...I'm not sure what Honda claims. I'm guessing they claim 0-60 in the neighborhood of 5.7-6.2 for the manual and 6.3-6.7 for the auto.
actually, the manual 08 accord V6 with a proper dirver could do 5.8 to 60 ive seen it with my own eyes. i have the auto 08 V6 accord, and it does 0-60 in 6.5 sec which is pretty quick.
I haven't personally tested the new Accord. This information came from other road tests. Plus, every car i a bit different and I heard that if you push your car to the limit a lot, it starts to get faster. I don't know if that is true or not but that could be the reason for the 5.8 time
it gets faster but u cant do it a lot cuz it puts a lot of strain on ur car. once ur car breaks in, it gets quicker and then u start pushin it to the limit once in a while. after that, if u r a good driver, the car becomes really quick. for instance take the accord. stock manual it does 0-60 in 6.1. ive seen someone do 5.8 stock. imagine with basic mods what it would be able to do.
ey Road & Track magazine claims, according to their track results, the accord V6 does 0-60 in 5.8 stock and has a quarter mile of 14.4 secs. not bad for stock right? pretty damn quick
I have a 2008 accord sedan V6 automatic =/ But it's still fine right? I mean when I race, I shift from 1 to 2 and 3 to D. It works for me because I raced a 2005 RSX-S manual and smoked it. Is automatic really that slow?
I only got auto because my mom wants to drive it too -.-
how fast it does frm 0 to 60 acceleration?i heard the coupe could do 6.3 secs so by right the sedan should be able to do either 6.5 secs or 6.6 secs due to it`s much heavier weight but definitely not 7.5 secs...thats ridiculously way too slow for a powerful 3.5 liter 268 horsepower V6 engine...!
mikejohncooper, actually I was able to post 5.6-5.8 with my v6 coupe 6spd. under 6 sec is easy. however, you cannot do it too often because it is abusive to clutch. drop the cluch at 4500 rpm (anything above wears clutch too much, although clutch drop at any speed will wear out clutch) and I hit 5.7 3 times, 5.6 once and 5.8 (bad start) during my 5 times that i tried... this car is a rocket.
All I meant was that the capabilities of the manual are not much better than the capabilities of the auto, I was able to hit 5.9 in my G6 auto but in many cases an automatic is just able to shift better than a manual can be shifted. You have to be very good to shift a manual well enough to reach specs (launch is easier) where as Launch is hard in an auto but the shifts are quicker
Are u saying u have the 20087 accord coupe V6 in automatic transmission? Im asking cuz im looking to buy a V6 accord coupe but and not sure whether to get auto or stick. Does auto run way slower than stick or is it still worth getting this V6 coupe in auto??
no I have a G6 coupe GXP but to answer your question, yes it is worth it to get an Auto, mine has manual shift mode and it is just fine. The manual feels sportier but it is not really much faster, maybe marginally.
Ok but the Pontiac G6 is different from the accord coupe V6 right? I mean does the accord coupe auto trans have manual mode? I so then id def get auto.. so ur saying the automatic accord coupe in has the manual mode built in?
yeah... manual is definitely faster and more powerful because not only of transmission but also because of the engine. its same horses but gets stronger faster and brings more power instantly. only with manual can you really use the engine to its fullest before switching gears.
by the way Recruit555, no hate dude. i dont have to make a vid to prove it. its been proven by testers and magazines.
no because dont need to prove nuthin to you. if you ever get burned by an accord coupe, may be that's me and its enough proof. look around magazine sites with accord testings and find out for yourself dude. those tests have been done with no clutch drop or light ones so its possible to get even FASTER time. understood?
You're right, the 6spd is substantially faster. The 0-60 times have been tested in the 5.7 range and with the automatic in the 6.5 range. I almost went for the 6spd but opted for the auto in the end.
First of all, I said it was plausible that magazines got it, but not you. So maybe you should learn how to comprehend what you read Koreanational... Second, I doubt a stock AC would get any faster than that. Do you understand Cho?
FIRST OF ALL BUDDY... I said i did. so that's all you need to comprehend, little weapon.
second, i ain't no CHO so drop your little discrimination homeboy.
If I said I did, thats ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. too bad you doubt and doubt... hey, little doubters and haters are common. I came here to leave something positive and you turn it into little boy affair. are you 16 yet?
Well, Sedan should not be too far from coupe, because like you said, the horses and weight is same. So therefore I personally do not believe sedan will post such slow 7.5's. I think they are definitely in mid 6's. Accord sedan testing is done more conservatively and therefore, they put conservative times up there. But coupe IS faster because the engine is WITHOUT VCM,and only coupe has the 6 speed manual. manual makes world of difference because u draw 100% out of engine. and also drop clutch..
The manual isn't a whole lot faster although it will feel a whole lot faster to drive. no one doing 0-60 pulls in their car on here can hit the specs that professional drivers will get. the V6 accord should get 5.9 but with a driver on here won't break 6.2 sec. this driver will be able to get better times with a little practice and breaking in though
. Dam u i wanted the metal m. but i couldnt find one in a v6 6spd. I love that grey. My first mods going to be h.i.d. lights, tints, then honda body kit. ok ill make a video this weekend
Well I guess it should be noted that I was going a bit uphill. I didn't take the time to find a flat road. I'll try to make a better run at night on a flat road. Thanks for the comment :D
First off...the 6 spds are in a different league! Nice purchase, I couldn't bring myself to get the manual. I basically gutted the intake. Honda has a bunch of extra tubing and silencers to limit noise and I removed all of it. I also cut out the back side of the airbox that faces the fender lining to help it breathe easier. Kind of a poor man's CAI. I'd say the intake and exhaust got me ~5-10fwhp. It sounds much more aggressive!
im going to have to post a video of my 6 speed soon. How the hell did u mount ur camera? What color is ur car. God my black on black is a pain to keep clean.
Thanks! Does Infiniti even make G35's for 2008? I think it's the G37 now. Anyway, my coupe is polished metal with black leather. I got it March 8th and enjoy it very much. I actually looked at a used G35 but went with Honda in the end.
well it would be pretty hard for my to get a 2008 g35s if infiniti stoped makeing them.
infinifi makes a g35 sedan and a g37 coupe.
if i would have seen this car when i went car shopping about 2 months ago i would have bought it but i only went to infiniti to look at the g35 and the fx35 and i went to volkswagen to look at the r32 the gti the passat vr6 and the touareg and i got the g35 sport.
Well I feel dumb...haha! Thanks for correcting me. I feel like the 08 Accord Coupe offers the best bang for the buck in it's class. That includes styling, performance and reliability.
I have the same car with the V6 and it doesn't seem all that fast. Is the exhaust making it faster?
mjpitche 2 months ago
@mjpitche the intake would do that. A good modified intake can add up to around 10 extra hp and torque.

xWeaponOfChoicex 3 years ago
no because dont need to prove nuthin to you. if you ever get burned by an accord coupe, may be that's me and its enough proof. look around magazine sites with accord testings and find out for yourself dude. those tests have been done with no clutch drop or light ones so its possible to get even FASTER time. understood?
koreanational 3 years ago
You're right, the 6spd is substantially faster. The 0-60 times have been tested in the 5.7 range and with the automatic in the 6.5 range. I almost went for the 6spd but opted for the auto in the end.
ousoonerbg 3 years ago
First of all, I said it was plausible that magazines got it, but not you. So maybe you should learn how to comprehend what you read Koreanational... Second, I doubt a stock AC would get any faster than that. Do you understand Cho?
xWeaponOfChoicex 3 years ago
FIRST OF ALL BUDDY... I said i did. so that's all you need to comprehend, little weapon.
second, i ain't no CHO so drop your little discrimination homeboy.
If I said I did, thats ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW. too bad you doubt and doubt... hey, little doubters and haters are common. I came here to leave something positive and you turn it into little boy affair. are you 16 yet?

do u think that the performance of the sedan is same as the coupe?well why
should it won`t...cos both had de same powerful 3.5 liter V6 268 hp engine,
even though weight might be the several factor for the sedan to go a bit slow but
the gap should`nt be that far as the coupe could do 0 to 60 around 6.3 secs so
by right the sedan should be slower around 6.5 or 6.6 secs in my opinion but
definitely not 7.5 secs...! thats ridiculously way too slow for a powerful 3.5 liter
V6 268 horsepower engine..
fadrezz515 3 years ago
Well, Sedan should not be too far from coupe, because like you said, the horses and weight is same. So therefore I personally do not believe sedan will post such slow 7.5's. I think they are definitely in mid 6's. Accord sedan testing is done more conservatively and therefore, they put conservative times up there. But coupe IS faster because the engine is WITHOUT VCM,and only coupe has the 6 speed manual. manual makes world of difference because u draw 100% out of engine. and also drop clutch..
koreanational 3 years ago
The manual isn't a whole lot faster although it will feel a whole lot faster to drive. no one doing 0-60 pulls in their car on here can hit the specs that professional drivers will get. the V6 accord should get 5.9 but with a driver on here won't break 6.2 sec. this driver will be able to get better times with a little practice and breaking in though

Well I guess it should be noted that I was going a bit uphill. I didn't take the time to find a flat road. I'll try to make a better run at night on a flat road. Thanks for the comment :D

The automatic accord coupes are way slower than the manuals. A 6 spd stick could go under 6.

hey i just put up a video of my black v6 manual.
piranhaleg 3 years ago
what mod did u do to the intake? How big of a difference is there power wise? i also have a v6 6spd coupe.
piranhaleg 3 years ago
First off...the 6 spds are in a different league! Nice purchase, I couldn't bring myself to get the manual. I basically gutted the intake. Honda has a bunch of extra tubing and silencers to limit noise and I removed all of it. I also cut out the back side of the airbox that faces the fender lining to help it breathe easier. Kind of a poor man's CAI. I'd say the intake and exhaust got me ~5-10fwhp. It sounds much more aggressive!
ousoonerbg 3 years ago
wow, i beleive you are the first v6 accord to post a vid of your run wiht an intake! =]
sounds good man, it shifts ALOT faster than a 7g accord and my tl!

piranhaleg 3 years ago
I just held the camera. My car is polished metal with black leather...fairly easy to keep clean. I'd like to see your 6spd!
ousoonerbg 3 years ago
this car is the sexiest car in the world what color did u get it in
i would so trade in my 2008 g35 sport for this accord
sterlingnobles 3 years ago
Thanks! Does Infiniti even make G35's for 2008? I think it's the G37 now. Anyway, my coupe is polished metal with black leather. I got it March 8th and enjoy it very much. I actually looked at a used G35 but went with Honda in the end.
ousoonerbg 3 years ago
well it would be pretty hard for my to get a 2008 g35s if infiniti stoped makeing them.
infinifi makes a g35 sedan and a g37 coupe.
if i would have seen this car when i went car shopping about 2 months ago i would have bought it but i only went to infiniti to look at the g35 and the fx35 and i went to volkswagen to look at the r32 the gti the passat vr6 and the touareg and i got the g35 sport.
i love ur car so much thought

Well I feel dumb...haha! Thanks for correcting me. I feel like the 08 Accord Coupe offers the best bang for the buck in it's class. That includes styling, performance and reliability.
ousoonerbg 3 years ago
yea styling, performance and reliability is what honda is strong for
