@wildcat4424 Unfortunately, the original audio was taken down, so I just used one from YouTube Audioswap, which doesn't say the name of the song under the video... so, I really don't know either...
Good work, really enjoyed your vid! Normally I don't like music like that on bashing videos, but at the time I am watching this it's 11pm in Germany, i'm having a nice drink, sitting back... Well done m8, even the music! ;)
dude get a venom group intenational lipo battery they come in 20-30cells and it will be much faster than the battey you had in this video i have the same one
@lordoftraxxas Other people have mentioned that, even when I wasn't the one driving, but I think your the only one that wasn't trying to be insulting about it. I know about that, it doesn't seem to work that well on a slash for big jumps, the body is like a big parachute... Anyways, thanks for the comment!
@TheChris1696 It's a toboggan run. They fill it with water and it freezes, and the white ridges in it are so the ice doesn't slide out when the toboggan's are sliding down really fast. It's a winter thing...
@driftingdonuts Hey i was the driver in the video. Honestly if you think that jumping that far on this jump is easy you try it. It took forever to get it perfect. It was sheer luck that i had the right amount of wheel speed to get the truck to settle correctly in the air. Probably the most difficult jump i've ever done with my slash or any RC in general.
@driftingdonuts did you change the motor? what kind of battery is that? 25 minutes is pretty long, no? im trying to decide whether to go nitro or electric with my first rc truck..
@chrismodiano Personally, i feel electric is a better beginner power choice. Yes, the motor in that was a Brushless motor, and the battery was a Li-Po (Lithium Polymer) battery. 25 minuets is a good runtime for that combo. Weather you are a basher, or you are going to race, you cant go wrong with a Traxxas Slash. Good luck picking your first ride, and thanks for the comment!
thanks! ahh i dont understand why it didnt get killed.. i have 2s with 3500 VXL motor and drove on dirt. slipper was at around 180-360 from tight.. first time i drove, the yokes and shafts snapped :(
Yes, Iverson park in Stevens Point, WI. Yea we used to do that with snowmobiles, I'm glad we didn't tumble like the slash did! LOL. Who are you LouisCypher57? Driftingdonuts is my son Dana.
Hey Larry! Good Shots! Is that the hi speed camera that catches that stuff so good? Is this Iverson Park? I remember doing this with you on sleds jumping a road near Houghton, MI. Remember? Cool driving and stunts!
Castle Creations Sidewinder ESC, Zippy 4000 Mah 25C lipo/Promatch 5000 mah 30C lipo, 5700 kv castle motor, Proline sand paddles, Spektrum radio system, and otherwise stock. Not a single part broken at all. The buggy at the end is a Team Associated RC10B4

Just some advice if you didnt know adding a touch of brake mid air will bring the nose down or a touch of gas will send the nose up.

At 0:23 it looks like you've stiffened the rear shocks. Which springs did you use? White non-progressive? I need to firm up mine as well.
awksedgreep 1 year ago
@awksedgreep Stock white progressive springs, probably had thick spacers in it for this jump. Thanks for the comment!

what is the case called for the sidewinder to hold it down?
how fast does it go with that battery with stock tires?
stefan3d5 2 years ago
Probably 35-40 mph.
driftingdonuts 2 years ago
why did he have paddles in the dirt?
if he had knobbies(stock tires) it would have been faster.

how do you like that pack
im looking at getting the new 5000mah 42c 2s promatch battery
timmytime1793 2 years ago
how about in nimh battery is it good?
hondatmx 2 years ago
Brushless systems are very hard on nihm batteries. They get so hot their life span is reduced. Go lipo, way better.
driftingdonuts 2 years ago
does pro match lipo good? im thinking getting one if its good.
hondatmx 2 years ago
The promatch is great. plenty of punch, and great runtime. I reccommend you get one.

I actually just touched the brakes in the air. Speed wasnt the issue, flying it was. I am his "buddy" by the way, the driver of the slash
kittenzzzzz 2 years ago
The abuse those things take is even more impressive in slow mo.
Btw, tell your bud to let off the throttle mid air, will help keep the nose down. :P
