  • I took care of a pt with hypotension upon admission who was 66 years of age. His B/P dropped from 85/54 to 70/40. Pt remained alert yet lethargic. I called his doctor (on call- MD) at 23:30 and he didn't want to give orders to improve his B/P. I asked if the pt IVF rate could b increased. The doctor said 'no, no! He had a low B/P when he was admitted ', he said -and hung up the phone. The next am the doctor (on call MD) came to work and reported to nursing service that he was called last night

  • i was just curios of our case that, a person with severe sepsis due to bacterial pneumonia, had led to hypotension,,,, it might be cause of blood going on the infection site in the lungs/
