  • Chicago And Detroit Is The Best Cities In The Midwest Region

  • Effin EMI blocked your "Lake Shore Drive South at Night: Chicago, IL" video in Poland :(

  • @blablaqq The amount of countries it's blocked in looks like the Summer Olympics opening ceremonies! sorry.

  • I wouldn't say hopping, but its not bad. Impressive architecture certainly

  • There's no American city I know that's built with more style than Chicago, and it's a joy to walk around in, making me feel a little more sophisticated just by virtue of being there. I was last there in '95- thanks for driving me back!

  • @videowilliams Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!

  • @videowilliams I get that "sophisticated" feeling from Boston, as well, and to a lesser degree S.F. and N.Y. But man, Chicago is just a world-class metropolis. And the good thing is that it keeps getting better and better. The new architectural additions have been fantastic. It's a shame they won't build the Chicago Spire, what with the global downturn. I understand it would have been the second tallest building in the world! I wasn't a fan of the style, but brother, it would've been impressive.

  • Always a great drive! Nice video Jim!

  • @FreewayTitan Thank you!

  • Love this video!!! Ive driven up and down michigan ave so many times i cant even count!! Its an awesome street!! Lots of traffic, lots of honking!!! LOVE IT!! :D Thanks for posting! Hope you enjoyed the "windy city"

  • @TheNate1810 Thank you and I did enjoy my short time in Chicago, great city!

  • I Love it and subscribe your channel

  • @shirke01 Thank you!

  • id like to see some of Hampton roads streets if your ever around Virginia again.

  • @lilsweets4u22 I do need to get back there and re-shoot everything in HD someday, you never know :)

  • @Freewayjim that would be awesome. i hope are able to take a trip over here soon =]

  • Excellent, for it being night, very colorful!!

  • @0marigolds Thanks, Chicago may be the best lit city I've driven in.

  • Lovely :-))

  • @336kush Thanks!

  • Nicely done. Great song -- very jazzy.

  • @Bryant5493 Thank you! yes I definitely went the smooth jazz route on this one.

  • I went down that street last year on my visit to chi-town its amazing there is such to do and see in chicago, I would love to go back but nxt time I will fly instead of driving, its to long of a drive.

  • magnificent! :-)

  • @aswchris Thanks!

  • Excellent! Arguably one of my top 10 favorite streets in America. The "Magnificent Mile" is appropriately named, although in reality, there are dozens of city streets in Chicago that are truly "magnificent" in their own right. Excellent soundtrack to boost, too. Another favorited video.

  • @USHighway101 Thanks, glad you liked it!

  • @Freewayjim: Whoops, didn't realize I was posting from my other account, lol.

  • pertty good ''KEEP IT GREEN'' I will say i have not seen to many major cities with as much green in downtown as featured in this video.

  • @ScrewdUPClickV2 A lot of that park area was made from landfill after the Great fire in 1871, no doubt Chicago has a lot of park area.

  • Although not mentioned, before it was US 14, except for the Chicago River bridge alignment before 1920, the entire length of Michigan Ave shown in your clip was the Yellowstone Trail (mid 1910s-1930). See their website for more on that early-20th century transcontinental 'auto trail', a 'sister' to the more well-known Lincoln Highway.

  • @mgk920 Good tidbit, I did see that in my research but I was worried about "talking" too much during the video :)

  • Now THIS is what I've been waiting for! I was really hoping you filmed Michigan Ave at night, and I'm so happy that you did. I really liked this a lot (I'm a sucker for skyline views and activity on city streets), and the quality and editing was top notch as always. Thank you so much for this! Favorited.

  • @CosmoPhotography Thanks, glad you liked it, stay tuned for the next video, "Overdrive" on the Dan Ryan and Kennedy expressways.

  • @Freewayjim If it's anything like your Boston one, it'll be fav'd before I even watch it. ;-)

  • @CosmoPhotography Well the tunnels in Boston really made that video special IMO but considering what I had to work with in Chicago, it did come out well.

  • Wonderful song.

  • Once again Chicago looks amazing at night. But that traffic looked horrendous!

  • @adogg619 I was surprised at how busy it was for that time of night.

  • 5*****

They really need to make their right lanes wider for their buses.
