I forgot what it means to "flash" superuser...what does that mean? & what its a recovery image?

@vabronxboogie Flash is to install it on your phone, superuser is the permissions you get after rooting. recovery image is what the actual recovery is

I had problems too. I followed all nstructions, I got the S-Off and installed the zipped Superuser file in Hboot & got the rooted message, but still Barnacle would not work. I then, tried Android Wifi tether and that too didn't work. I downloaded Root checker from the market and it said I was not rooted. I triple checked all the instructions again and then realized that the Superuser I needed was 3.07 and the link is for 3.06. Check your Superuser if all else fails. It's working fine now. Thx

I tried directing the Device Manager to those files as well, but it still didn't recognize them as driver files.

Do you understand what is going on?

A side note - When I first connected the USB while on the HBOOT screen Windows automatically installed some kinda driver named Android ADB... something. (I suspect that came from an app called PDAnet that I have used). I uninstalled that driver and that got me back to the "Other devices - Android 1.0" screen.

Hey, I am stuck just like mjofart was. I am trying to install the HTC Drivers, but when I direct device manager to the folder containing the drivers, it doesnt recognize any drivers there.

In your video you didnt say to run the HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe file which you download from that website ("HTC Drivers" link), so at first I just tried directing device manager at that .exe file. That didnt work. Then I ran the .exe file, and it created several files in a set of HTC folders in Program Files.

I am still coming up zero, and with the beta key, it was explained to me tha a lower case L looks like a upper case I. Tried it both ways, even switching the letter O with the number 0, but no success so far. Any suggestions? With your method, I can still get to the device manager, but the HTC drivers still aren't located. Thanks.
