Good way to beat him with Axel. This game is not about mad skills, it's about finding the best way to kill each baddy. If you try to react to what the later bosses do, you get owned, hard.
@sireg9vti ah first thanx for your comment, yes i think the name of the punch is grand upper, but i wana know what axel stone says when he does the punch,it seems to me he says merdamma???!!!
@beatchef actually this is on hardest you can tell by how many health bars the boss has i would know as im fighting him right now on hardest and i must say this worked like a charm also on easier difficulties the bosses have less health so yea this is definitely on hardest the game difficulty has not changed at all either, the game on PSN is this EXACT GAME they emulated it and they have done no upgrades and no downgrades
@NineTailedNaruto98 I apologise for my comment because I eventually managed this as well. It just takes an amazing amount of timing. On the PSN version he even seems to fake you out but it could just be bad emulation.
@NineTailedNaruto98 Yeah I apologise, I managed to do it eventually, it's just really really difficult timing. He even seems to fake you out but that's probably just me xD
Abadede is a dickbag so I dont feel bad at all about you abusing grand upper. But they really should have balanced this move better, there's no reason not to use it constantly in this game and in the remake.
To be honest, I find him easier in the elevator. Since he has less room to move, he doesn't do his dashing lariat attack as often, and combos actually work on him.
Most people say this strategy is easy, but really its a double edged sword. If it connects, Abadede gets a face full of Grand Upper, but if the timing is off, I get a close look at his fist and biceps. Which hurts A LOT!
Well, he's not a problem alone, but he has a few guys that drop down with him that make him a little difficult to focus on. Once the others are dead and it's just him, he's not a problem.
true, he is a P.I.T.A with the other guys, I just found the best solution to never stay in his line of pathing, otherwise he will 99% of the time Lariat you in the face. Think you have to utilise your desperation move constantly for that particular bit.
Yeah I could see that working, seeing as by the time you've killed the other guys in the room your health shouldn't have suffered to much from using your desperation move you should actually come out with a lot less life loss if any.
@togurotheman move 1on1 has priority over any other move in the game. They had to make a character like that because if you make a serious run in single player you basically have to use axel just for grand uppa
It good to know there was a easier way to beat the love child of ultimate warrior and incredible hulk... i never wanted that man near me as skate i tried to beat on his head and well that didnt work out as i planned
If you look in the background, I don't think anyone truly understood the hidden insult this stage was towards Americans (in particular, wrestling fans)
this game wuz so much fun to play i remember me and my lil shit brother would play this on a secret difficulty lvl and laugh our asses off on this one elevator part. god it wuz frikin awesome i need to get a sega genesis n this game again. GOOD MEMORIES MAN GOOD MEMORIES
I HATE this guy. I can usually play through almost any difficulty and do well enough to end up with around 7 or 8 lives by this point,. an then he always brings me down to like 1 or 2 lives (i usually play blaze so trying a technique like axel used here is a lot harder and a bit cheap)
C'mon now really, if it makes the boss fight easier, why not use it? Yes I can fight him many other ways, but he's not that much fun to fight to begin with. Besides doing this requires some amount of timing and can be quite punishable.
The second battle against him in the elevator is a different story btw, and much more fun.
I think Sega should have been paying out some royalties to the WWE - "Abadede" is clearly the Ultimate Warrior!!! What with the wrestling suplexes and the crowd... blatant theft.
I always played as Skate back when I used to play this. Very nicely done taking him out as Axel. I wonder if that would work when you have to fight him again in that small elevator. :o
The way I fought Abadede in the elevator was that I simply kept doing a jumping flying kick into him. Knock him down with one, back up JUST A LITTLE BIT and do it again while he's trying to get up. It takes Abadede about 2 seconds to get up, leaving you enough time to back up a little bit and do another flying kick into him. He won't have any time to defend.

Quite true, though it seems to be a rather effective "tactic" against this boss.
Keep in mind though, I recorded these about 4 years ago mainly to show the game's bosses and not so much to jerk off to my "skills".
