I would just say that the movie was ok! ranbir saved the whole film ! but the female actress gave me a headache I got so much of a headache watching her even sarodin did'nt help ! and why her what is wrong with you imitaz ali? picking up any one for the film were you trying to save big time money on the female lead? if yes one of my friend is better looking than her she would do it for free !

Its a beautiful movie. Made me cry, i feel so bad for Ranbir in the movie. But its awesome. I actually cired in the end. And i have also thought about it, everytime Ranbir has portrayed a singer in a movie, the girl has died or left him. Like in Sawaariya Sonam left him for Salman. So got an ironic feeling. But awesome movie. More than the movie i just loved the songs. They are awesome hats of th Mohit Chauhan and AR. Rehman for the music.

This movie should all watch.

believe me even i thought that this movie will be fucking inspiring movie of the year but after watching it i was very disappointed , it was the trailer which is very misleading by watching the trailer i thought that ranbir gets betrayed in love & hence he becomes so focused in his dreams that he becomes a "Rockstar" but after watching the movie i felt as if what crap is this its a pure love story although its good love story but it'd have been beyond awesome if it'd not have been a love story !

@rahultheundertaker ya agree! trailer was misleading. and the heroine was misleading. i do not know a director of the calibre of imtiaz could select a heroine who does not even know how to act even 1%. she messed up all the romantic seaces also. so, i do not say it a love story also. coz love was seen only in ranbir kapoors acting.

could have taken any other heroine. Katrina could have done well and is pleasant experience to watch her also.

With this movie Bollywood is proving to get itself to a level where movies with deep understanding of human emotions, dedication towards your dreams and perseverance with success can make a hit movie. But overall it's worth for your money.......

And it's jst that it has a diff. ending than our usual Bollywood movies-"Happy Ending"...

I feel this was one of the best movies after 3 idiots and ZNMD, Although a little dark but it just showed how a human changes with time and Love. After watching Nargis I feel Katrina is second best in Bollywood. Ranbir was just awesome in both the roles especially the dark one. I hope he keeps continuing with different kinds of genre movies as he is doing now.

People who like this movie are the ones who are either in Love or Lost their dear ones....if u haven't been in Love anytime then please don't watch the movie as the movie will look like a looser for them.

or may be we were disappointed coz we expected more from imtiaz. its ok, things sometimes do not happen as one likes but atleast imtiaz could have selected the heroine , sensibly. if it was not a love story, fatkari could have survived, but it was a love story, dude. and for that heroine has equal role as hero. and neither the heroine was shown as NRI, may be den fatim could be excused
