Not like this is terrible, but maybe if you learned to play using sheet music, this performance would have been a little better? Koji Kondo didn't play by ear. He reads sheet music, as all truly great musicians do.

So amazing, just like me, except I've not been able to get much better coz I should picked up my lazy left hand to play both hands.

Playing by ear is quite easy but its much better than having to read sheet music... Have you any tips to how I can improve my Piano/Keyboard skills?

Excellence, dude. I've gotta learn to play like that! I've been trying to play Mortal Kombat (most of my friends know it, and I want to know it too! I'm learning by ear and by seeing them play.), so I've gotta keep practicing! Next year, my Junior year (A.K.A., year of awesomeness; I'm gonna take all of my awesome classes), I'm gonna take basic piano! Next, I'll finally learn to play that guitar my dad gave me! XD :P

Without past musical experience or knowledge, I would have to agree, somehow that screams BS that you've only been playing for a year. Even with practice, you would really need a good musical background. Not to mention they test for these things and you would have inevitably with any skill played some other instrument.
