If-n U hav mind-time, get ovr 2 silvr city, Go N. 7 mi. 2 Pinos Altos (PA) ther's anothr St. Camp grnd. In forest (coolr & ther's plenty creeks 2 prod aroun N). Lotsa gold pulld out of PA n past. C "Bob III" @ tiny museum x-street frm saloon/eatery (dad use 2 own) take 30 min tur, B-Kind, he'll steer U up rd. Ask him about Madam Tilly!

I was there December '08 and was digging around up high where you found all the "common" black opal (?). This place to me just seems to be an average area for rocks. For anyone planning a trip there, unless you're very experienced, don't expect much. If you do go, Chiricahua Natl. Monument nearby in Arizona is a must-see. And you can find gold in the Gilas. Nice area.
