French EMIA was born in 1966, but has already exist in 1945. In 1945, they were the first french soldiers to sing "sarie mares" in France.

This the reason why, in 1970, "sarie mares" become the official marchnig song of EMIA.

@reprimand33 The song is also used int he French Foreign Legion, part of their marching songs. It must have come back from SA with the French volunteers that went to fight alongside with the Boers, hence the fact the song exists with French lyrics (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
