On my Asus Eee when the battery is fully charged it dosent last long only about 7 or 8 hours and then needs charging again.

I've had Dippy (my 701 EEE PC model) since last April, and have absolutely no complaints, though the battery did die about a month ago. However, everything else has held up just fine. He's a tough little shit.

It uses the ful screensize. I think you mean the black border... but there are the speakers! It's non the monitor, wich is only a 7 inch screen.

Its a little awkward at first but you get used to it and its not bad at all... Its actually the trackpad buttons that are a bit annoying, they could improve that.

The higher model (8G) has 1GB DDR2 ram but I prefer getting the 4G model (with 512mbddr2) because you can just upgrade to 2GB DDR2 ram.

One thing is, if you ever want to upgrade the actual SSD, the 8G has their Samsung SSD in the PCI Mini Express, so you could upgrade it that way.

Upgrading to 2gb ram is only possible after you've installed windows xp. The linux OS kernel limits the ram to 1gb only.

maybe ill wait until they do something about the screen. wishing it filled it the whole thing and put the speaker somewhere else and really squeeze in the webcam. i mean if the motorola razr has the cam really close to the edge of the phone why didnt they do it with this awesome laptop? i wanted it until i thought about the screen really.. its a let down actually but kids wont mind it. i know that for sure.
