This is not the most disturbing death in the Game, there are other good ones and this one was actually stolen from another horror movie. The death scenes in this game are a lot better than the death scenes in Phantasmagoria 2 but Phantasmagoria 2 is the better game. I can honestly see why it almost drove SpoonyOne to the brink but still Phantasmagoria 2 has it's cool moments.

@HitmanAngel666 @HitmanAngel666 Although I liked that the second one was done up to be more like an interactive movie, what the first one was lacking in graphics it made up for with an extremely creepy antagonist. There really ins't a modern day equivalent. Seriously I've played them both enjoyed them both more or less and if you liked the second you'll love the first. I remember hearing that Roberta Williams had been ejected from sierra that was the end of an era!!!

By 80 minutes in, all that's happened is that Curtis has sneezed so bad a bit of blood came out of his mouth, or maybe his tooth exploded, and someone on Skype called him a freak, and his computer got such a bad virus it showed weird videos and put him into a straight jacket and talked to him in a weird voice

The first 80 minutes taking place in an uninteresting home and uninteresting office

is it just me or are dissing the game based on under 2 hours of gameplay? anyway, you really have to put things into context. you might not like this game today, but think about the adventure-game scene back in the mid 90's. it might not have good acting, but for what it represents it does it's job very well. this game is a classic imo. it's ok if you don't like it tho

@Tolstoievsky Spoony is an awesome online personality who reviews games and usually plays them all the way through. He did a "Phantasmagoria 2" playthrough and has some REALLY funny moments in it. When he dies and the villain laughs at him, Spoony says "come on curtis, you have to admit, it was pretty funny". It's funnier while you watch the video, but everything he says is hilarious.

@Tolstoievsky I'm sure in the two years since you posted this comment, you're probably well aware who Spoony is. His review is based mostly on the fact that the first Phantasmagoria game had lots of puzzles to solve and a lot of interactive gameplay while the second game is just click on something and see what happens. I'm in the middle about the game, I've never actually played either game, but the second one looks like a decent B movie and I respect that.
