They may not follow the NHL, they are probably more into one of the Entlsh Premier League Football Teams. They sound like a gay pop band to me and there is no way they come close to sounding kick ass & aggressive like Nickelback or Metallica. There drummer has one arm so he can't even keep up with a fast Metallica song if he tried, it's common sense. Im hoping for an 09' tour but I know they have some new material that theyve already started writing..so it may be best they take some time off to make the new album. I like Sparkle Lounge a lot but I hope their next album just blows people away! I think they plan on breaking it off with the Mercury label..hopefully thats a good thing :D

Keep in mind, this was from a live concert during the first regular season game of the 2008-2009 NHL Season. They may not follow the NHL, they are probably more into one of the Entlsh Premier League Football Teams. I'm a capitals fan and I wouldn't mind if they came to washington and did a concert before the first Caps Game..

If you don't know anything about music please don't try to act like you do because Def Leppard are anything but "washed up". They have been around since 1977 and in 2008 released a brand new album that topped out at #5 on the Billboards Top 200 albums....not bad for a washed up 80's band, right? Def Leppard are one of the greatest bands ever and def the best from the 80's. They have more talent than any modern band.

Oh yeah, well Metallica is 100X more popular and more talented than Def Leppard and guess what???? They are HUGE hockey fans. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but Def Leppard and hockey do not mix. They aren't even hockey fans, and that's the main point, they should never have been here. All this was just a big mistake. Pop? Some of their new stuff might sound poppish but they are not a pop band. Def Leppards first three albums are hard rock or early heavy metal. Hysteria was just perfection and melodic. Metallica is prolly the most over-rated rock band ever. They were good in the 80's and that's it. just because Def Leppard aren't metal and don't scream into the microphone doesn't mean they are not talented, buddy. Lett's see Metallica try to perform Bringin' On the Heartbreak...they couldn't do it.

Dude, you are seriously dreaming if you think that the songs they played here are hard rock or heavy metal. They sound like a gay pop band to me and there is no way they come close to sounding kick ass & aggressive like Nickelback or Metallica. There drummer has one arm so he can't even keep up with a fast Metallica song if he tried, it's common sense. And I'm sure Metallica could easily perform any Def Lepard song with ease, they are much more talented musicians.

I dug a few tunes back in the day, some actually good heavy riffs from the album Pyromania plus some nice and catchy ballads. Also, much respect for the drummer's courage to continue playing after losing an arm. I mean, over 60 million albums sold...can't be all that bad. I give credit for the good stuff.

Always is !! I seen them on the X tour, Rock of Ages, in 2007, and two times this year.....they are amazing live!! Hopefully they make it back there next tour. Im hoping for an 09' tour but I know they have some new material that theyve already started writing..so it may be best they take some time off to make the new album. I like Sparkle Lounge a lot but I hope their next album just blows people away! I think they plan on breaking it off with the Mercury label..hopefully thats a good thing :D

You never know with them...its hard to tell, they always suprise us lol Yeah thats what I liked about the X tour...I believe they did some songs like Let it go, another hit and run, High n dry, and women. I hope they play those songs next tour too...I know joe can still sing most of those because in 07' when they did another hit and run it sounded incredible..and I think he sounds better now than ever! You could probably find some vids on here from the 2007 tour where they did hit and run.

They cannot be expected to know everything, especially about American Sports. Someone in charge should have at least orientated Def Leppard about the trophy before going on stage if not held a rehearsal before the show! I do not blame Joe Elliot at all! The thing is that Joe said himself that he hadnt even seen the cup before & they did a little rehearsal & used a coffee maker in place of the cup he said they had the cup under lock and key the whole time they were there I agree with u they should have brought out the cup for him to see it or whatever before hand. Obviously he hadnt seen it before because he said the thing is huge I dont know why this is still an issue. I know many DL fans have dropped it & moved on & others need to move on also

I have so far tried to stay out of the comments section since posting this vid, but I just want to point out that the reason most NHL fans are upset by what Joe did is because he showed a lack of respect for Hockey's most honored trophy. Sure he apologized later, but that is not the point. Instead of apologizing right away, he blows the whole thing off and makes an excuse. I still like Def Leppard, but I will never forget this along with everything else that has happened to the Stanley Cup.
