Yet another classic from the man himself....CerealMarshmallows. I have SO much fun calling you CerealMarshmallows even though I know your name is Nathan. You are an interesting dude...interesting enough where I suggest you legally change your name to....you guessed it...CerealMarshmallows.
I wanted an S-class and this was what I thought. Why spend $150,000 on a new Mercedes s600 when I can buy a classic 98 model with 91,000 miles and 1 owners, smoke free, pet free, for just $7,000 ?!
I ended up buying it last month from a co-worker and I love it since. It drives superb, and he doesnt have kids so the rear seats look brand new.
The Mercs from this generation (late 80s/early-mid 90s) are the best you can ever buy. This car can and will outlive any brand spanking new state of the art 2011 Mercedes model you can buy. In my opinion this S320 model is better built, more comfortable, a lot more imposing and 'in your face' compared to the current S class.
Give me a heads up if you find another late model ('98-99) V6 model long wheelbased 140 like this in that dark blue (I think they did a "Royal Indigo" blue metallic paint in '98 or '99). With that tan or cream-ish colored interior.
It doesn't have to be shiny clean or with low mileage...
Superb video, I really appreciate this level of honesty and straightforwardness in your line of work. I currently drive a 1999 c280 (My 1999 W140 S420 was totaled) however If I'm ever in the market for a w140 you're at the very top of my shopping list.
@JaSt321 Yes, It was very upsetting for me, I still miss my car very much. Fortunately, it preformed very well in the accident. The car was so solid, felt like I was in a tank and was able to walk away without a scratch from a pretty severe accident. Considering these W140 were designed in the late 1980's and early 90's it's remarkable how well they were designed, even by today's standards they were way ahead of their time.
