Im still kindof new to riding, but from all of these videos on youtube, it is hard to notice shifting at all. Do most guys just keep it in 4th or 5th gear the whole time after starting?

@mike103192 no? they shift in all diffrent gears deppends on track if you slow down more u shift down you shift uo when u get goin again i always say shift down one before cornor.... depends on cornors tho....

@CLUMZYLB yep go for a 450 depends wat age though dont know age limits for ur area iff ur comin off a 450 go to a 450 but if ur only young and u waant to race like straight aaaway get a 250f

My bad. thought it was a crf 250( cause now they look a lot alike with the 450) . The 2010 crf 250's has a clamp at the top of the engine that hold's the engine with the chasi.

My mistake. now they are very few differences between the 450 and the 250.

It's OK..i understand you. The 250 exhaust pipe starts at the right side of the engine, but on a 450 it starts at the left side,and goes to the right side.(sorry about my english im from Croatia)

when a 4 stroke is hot it is a pain to start so when you pull in your hot start lever when the bike is hot and kick it it runs almost always by first kick

well EFI has no bog. But the motor isnt arm pulling like 08s and back on 03. But Its got stronger motor threw low and mid from wat i herd

Yes they were recalled 2009 crf450, auto decompression mech faulty in some of the bike's depending when they were made.The first lot of bikes had the problem.

nice bike i just got the same one but i got the yoshimura stage 3 engine kit, rs-4 titanium pipe, the pim unit, tag bars, excel a-60 rims with talon hubs, factory connection works kit for suspension, asv levers, decal works graphics, applied tripple clamps, vortex sprokets, d.i.d. chain, braking oversise front rotor kit, twin air filter, hot rods crank, new gaskets, project 321 gas cap, pwr stage 3 cooling kit. the stock bike is awesome. the bike is awesome stock but mine is way too fast.
