I. AM. 10538. they sent me to "prison," to a quantum box, but I was innocent. I escaped. they thought I died...but no...
10538 Nightrider will escape and live another day. I remember reading the lyrics to this song and crying with some emotion i couldn't quite understand, but from then on, I was 10538. no, not a prisoner, but a person on the run from everything that could keep her trapped in a quantum box.
I love this amazing song, the one that started the band...
never cared for the ending of this song ...... they never sounded better than the beatles as far as similar sounding songs go, especially ..... i repeat again ..... the ending rubbish! .......... the rest of song .... sounds great!
It's a bit hard picking out what cello player's behind what mask...I think that's Hugh in the pig mask, obviously Roy with no mask on, Andy Craig wearing the hat and sunglasses. In one shot you can see Mike Edwards with big hair (dyed red or maybe a wig) far left, so I guess the guy with the caveman mask is Trevor Smith, their first tour sound engineer/occasional player.
Is that Richard Tandy the keyboard player on base? 2:02
I'd swear that's him!!

@777jonah888 Yes. In the original lineup the bass got passed around between Tandy, Wood, Hunt and Lynne.

This song was originally meant a Move single B- side. Could you imagine ?
Move was a great group, all great songs didn´t fit even into the albums.

I hate to sound so ignorant, but I can't understand what he says. What's the song about?

Superb sound quality! Mike Edwards will be a sad loss, may perpetual light shine upon him.

OMG!!! I've never heard early ELO. This song is SO BEAUTIFUL!!
It reminds me of Black Sabbath and the Beatles
PilotGav 1 year ago
@PilotGav And Black Sabbath were from the Midlands as were ELO; Bev Bevan depped for Bill Ward in Sabbath in the 1980's.

No use!! Tandy is KEYBOARD player.
He's one of the best keyboard players, but I can't say the same about him on the bass, though he's NOT bad.
