This, Destruction Derby 2, Interstate 76, Carmageddon, Network Q Rally are the car games of my childhood :)
Racing games these days while with nice graphics just don't have what these games did. For one thing Screamer 2's racing tracks still remain unique and fun to this day! That large hairpin in the England track was murder for me when I drove the Radiance; care had to be taken to avoid a spin out :D
I remember unlocking all the cars and setting the record on the English track (shown in the video) with the Aphrodite @ 1:00:15... I just couldn't manage to break the 1 minute barrier... oh the agony lol... :D
I think this was a bit of a dissapointment compared to Screamer 1. The gameplay wasn't as fun and the menus where tiresome. Screamer and Screamer 4x4 was the real gems of the series imho!
I still cant get this demo to work. I have downloaded it from various sites but i I always seem to get stuck around the install/setup steps in DOSBOX on XP.
The game is supported but DOSBox has to be configured specifically for it. Go to their website and you'll find what you need on the compatibility page for Screamer 2.
The screamer series shifted from GT to Rally because of the growing popularity of Sega Rally in 1995, that overshadowed everyother racing game on the period.
I personally liked more the GT cars like lamborghini diablo, F40, EB110 from the original one. I think the first one its a more enjoyable game, altought I enjoyed a lot S2 too.
@wertkonijn1000 No idea why, but its reminds me of Jurassic Park. It's a old game, but still i love it as Screamer 1 (known as "Bleifuss" in Germany). I'm a old Games freak, my most played DOS Game (on DOSBox) is One Must Fall 2097.
No, i thought i always lent a game from the library. It was a racing game, with much tracks and such thins. The menu and such things looked very light-grey and metallish. I thought it was called X but im not sure of that.
this game reminds me of the time I had to upgrade my PC to a 16 megabyte graphics card. Good Times. Now my computer has something stupid like 1 Gigabyte of Ram graphics card. It's overkill just to play this game.
Sitting for hours on end, listening to that pumping soundtrack, round and round, just to shave a hundredth of a second off my record cos I KNEW I fucked up the hairpin :DDDDD
this has always been my favourite and i'm having similar problems with the first message. I want to play it on vista how do i go about that help me please
My biggest favourite racing game ever. The graphics ans physics were astounding at that time. Other favourites were Fatal Racing and (Mobil 1 British) Rally Championship 2000. Now I play Colin McRae 2004, Richard Burns Rally and Rally Trophy (2001).
BTW, I've never been able to play Screamer 2 on DOSBOX with Windows XP.:( Has anybody tried it on Vista?
Hmm.. I am noticing - do you demonstrate only demo versions of games? I mean, do you really think someone is going to sue you for showing full games from the year 1991 or so? (-8

Nice, nice, nice...i bought it original and it ran great on my old Pentium 60 with 16mbytes, a Sound Blaster Awe32 and a fabulous S3 Trio 64v+ !!!
There were some passwords to insert while you were in the game menu. You could unlock tracks , a fabulous FR car and a 4x4 Truck!
Aaaah good old times!
