Go to Applications-->Location-->Positioning-->Positioning methods and make sure that the integrated GPS in turned on and at Positioning server, positionig server use is on automatic and the server address is "supl. nokia. com", and if your device still can't locate your position go outside cos the signal strenght is betere, first time it will take a wile to connect( up to even 5 min) but after the first connection it will work faster
@samuel817 I had the same problem too. In your map, switch off then on the gps positioning. Then, wait for at least 2 minutes and the satellite signal be green on the signal bar.
does the new ovi maps 3.0 only work for nokia 5800 v40 firmware? because v40 is still not yet available for my phone. and after i installed ovi maps 3.0 and downloaded maps, no map is being displayed when i use ovi maps
no, in order to run Ovi Maps 3.0 on your 5800 you need the latest version of the software that is released, my version is 31.0.101, so i don't know why you have that problem, try to reinstall it(if you had the previous maps for ovi 2.0 you need to replace them with the new maps, the new version of Ovi does not support the old maps)
