Only one problem. The ancient egyptians had 14 gods. Horus wasn't the only reigning "god". He was never pure human. A Falcon headed god like man who was conceived by his mother and his father's corpse. A straight myth created and illustrated through art. There has never been a falcon headed man or cat like gods. absolutely right, our week is off..a roman emperor didn't liked the jews and the pope who wanted to keep his favor changed saturday(sabbath, the holy day, the actual seventh day) to the sixth day and sunday( the first day) to the seventh...to distant themselfs from the jews...also roman calendar has been changed lot's of times last time was in 1400's i think..before the gregorian calendar we had less then 12 months a year!!

Horus is practically Osiris, reborn.

Horus can also be related to Re, and Osiris can be related to Re.

The best way to look at it is the Sun. At sun-rise, it depicts the birth of Horus. At the "Age" of 12, it becomes the elder Horus, or Ra, and at Sunset it represents the death of Osiris.

They are related.

The Sun is life symbol representing life and death, and life beyond death (as the sun is born again, defeating the darkness, etc)
