  • i was born on may 7th. tooo (not 2007)

  • he's crying cuff him in yr hand! D:

  • Was this filmed with a noodle?

  • so cute i used to have one

  • i was wondering if i should get a sugar glider as a baby or an adult i would say a baby because they would bond with you better but if you get an adult its home is all new to him because they have been in a pet store for a long time or a breaders house but other people say to get them as an adult someone please help me

  • @kill3rbunni3s and if it were a baby it have longer 2 live

  • Awww! How adorable. They're little crying noises are so sad though :P

  • The person in indiana... u can get them at uncle bills off wasington street(eastside) or any uncle bills

  • It looks like a naked mole rat XD

  • Is he trying to nurse your finger... O.O

  • Do u know where I can get one in Kentucky? Thx:)

  • Hey man, I REALLLLLY want one. I live in Lafayette, Indiana

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Any breeders in Colombia county in NY

  • I want to get a few sugar gliders so does anyone know where I can get some near panama city Florida?

  • How often do you handle Joeys when they are first oop? How long is it safe to hold them for and what ways should you hold them? I am a new glider owner and my pair just had their first joey (i plan on neutering the male very soon)

  • how is that possibly a one day old sugar glider? They are marsupials, thus at birth they are about the size of a grain of rice.

  • @Nemowei It's 1 day out of the pouch.

  • @againstvalentine Well that makes much more sense then =D

  • I WANT A SUGAR GLIDER SOOOO BAD

  • how much are they and were can u get them

  • were can u get them at and for how much

  • aww it a little zipper

  • ZOMGROLFCAKES Cutest bastard evar!

  • Omg! So Cool. Do You Where I Can Get One Near Cape Coral Florida?

  • WOW

  • So cute! Congratulations with the baby! :)

  • What are the downsides of owning a sugar glider? I find that they are adorable, and online information, I know from experience, isn't very dependable. How many is recommended, in your opinion, to own?

  • @msheppard91 If you decide to get gliders, you should own them in pairs. I would start with 2, and if you like them, get another pair. As far as the downsides, they are extremely needy and time consuming, which is the reason I no longer have them. You have to specially make their food every day, and spend a certain amount of time with them every day. If you ever went on vacation, they would likely have to come with you because there aren't many other options. It's definitely a commitment...

  • @againstvalentine when we go one week long vacations i leave my pair at home with plenty of food and water and theyre just fine.

  • @againstvalentine making their food isnt hard if its hpw its frozen and then thawed and you give them glideraid every once in a while

  • @againstvalentine do you still know breeders? I live in Indiana.

  • wtf does it say?

  • I'm looking for a breeder just one glider tho I have already reserved another sugar glider somewhere else but I'm afraid that one wild get lonely

  • their*.

  • I Think it's ,,Really Cute'' to leave them in there Natural Habitat ...In my opinion!

  • Do you think that about dogs and cats as well? The thing you clearly don't understand is that these animals live longer and better lives in captivity. They don't have to worry about predators, lack of food or water, harsh environments, etc. So please, explain why it's "really cute" to leave them in their natural habitats.

  • CUTE !!

  • do they get along with hedge hogs? thanx in advance :)

  • I have no idea. I wouldn't think so, considering hedgehogs aren't very fun to play with thanks to their spines.

  • did it ever bite you?

  • Yes, but joey bites do not hurt at all. Full grow glider bites, however, do hurt.

  • @againstvalentine

But they wont bite someone they bonded too.

Full grown gliders only bite when it feels threatened, tortured/etc.

  • u dont have to hold them tight i have 6 they r just scared probally

and they live to be maybe 12-15 yrs is wat my sugarglider book saysL)

  • haha i have 6 of them one just had babys mine look just like that cuz they were just born mommys name =minnie daddy name= mickey and babys r = ducky, chreey, jojo, and pluto

  • the poor guy needs sustenance.

  • it looks like a hairless rat!

    Fucking Adorable!!!

  • I WANT ONE!

  • sooooooooo cute

  • Thats just awsome! I'm looking for some sugergliders right now, the next animal I will but would be a sugerglider, i just need to get some money first. Your baby looks very nice and healthy! And I agree with u, you should start hold them right when they get out of the pouch, that makes a nice and social animal!

(this is my boyfriends yt account)

  • lol valentine just ignore them they don't deal with sugar gliders enough to know how to respond to your video. i think it is sweet though definitely a healthy little baby. i've never held one that young! so cute.

  • are you a breeder and how can i get one

  • retard you are supposed to hold them tight when they do that

  • ohhh i hade no clue im srry about that how old is you r sugar glider now. i have a sugar glider name shoogie. i love him so much but he is not to freindly.he is about 6 months old. and how old do sugar gliders live to.

  • fifteen years, lol

  • sugar gliders live for about 15 years

  • you shouldnt hold them when they first come out of the pouch

  • Yes, actually, you should. For about 5 minutes a few times a day for the first week, and increasingly long as the joey gets older.

  • thats not a 1day baby ssg, i breed them, they r pink and bald. id say that 1 is bout 4 weeks old. cute tho=)

  • She is one day OUT OF THE POUCH. You count their age from the time they are out of the pouch.

  • how could you do that thats so crule to do that to such an inosent little baby i bet it wanted its mommy

  • I fail to see how holding it is being cruel. The mother was 2 feet away. You are SUPPOSED to handle young gliders to tame them and make them used to humans.

  • I'm looking for a female glider. Not more than 8 months of age. I have a male. And I want to buy a girl so they can breed.

  • that's illegal, so uhh, where do you live :D ?

  • It's not illegal. sooo yeah. lots of people have one.

  • Aw, she sounds unhappy. She prolly wants her mama. I just got a boy glider. He made a lot of noise the first week or so, but now he just sleeps in my pocket.

  • do u know where i can get a free glider..i paid for my last one and my gma lost it in a divorce.

  • How did your grandmother lose YOUR glider in a divorce? And there is no such thing as a free glider, unless you consider getting babies through breeding your own gliders free.

  • Was it sucking the blood out of your finger?

  • LOL!! Hes not a Vampire! he was just making a noise u made me Lol haha

  • I no longer breed or sell gliders.

  • it so cute

  • aww they are cute...but how much would you charge and do they bite?

  • thats not 1 day old .. yeah.. i hav 6 of them and such i luv them there the coolest

  • Does anyone know where I can get 2 sugar gliders in NY?

  • i'm in australia and we're not allowed to keep them as pets here because they're a local native species and they're endangered. very sad. would totally get one from america and bring it up here. are yours australian native or american?

  • American. I believe it's legal to bring them over from Australia to keep them here.

  • Whats a good place to get one from? I know none are around my area.. and I dont mind paying for shipping.

  • Own TWO I meant, not just one :)

  • All I have to say is the PA Game Commision needs to get their heads out of their asses so I can own one of these...They claim they are a danger to the local wildlife haha...stupid ass rednecks, if I move to Florida I'll buy my gliders from you

  • or you could live in a state that doesnt suck ass

  • i live in california and i want one

    :(

  • so small

  • my sugar glider always try to bite the shit out me every time i try to hold her...

can anybody give me some advice on how to get her use to me holding her please???

she is so moody and high maintenance

  • How long have you had her?

  • ive had her for about 3 weeks now

some one told me sugar gliders can not bite trough skin,...yeah right:-/

she has a real bad attitude

she always scream and charge anyone that touches her cage

  • It's because she is new. You are going to have to try to just grin and bare it while she bonds with you. Try taking her in a small bathroom or a closet where you can sit, and let her just roam around. Eventually she will start climbing on you and playing with you. It may take a while, but she will bond eventually. Try to carry her around a bonding pouch (buy one online if you don't have one already) for a few hours everyday, which will really help the bonding process.

  • do you know any good sugar glider sellers cause at pet shops whenever i see a sugar glider it looks really unhealthy if you know any please reply to my comment

    Thank you

  • mine are a little over 70 days old and they've started to wander away from their mom. can they find each other by themselves or should i be worried? this s the first time my glider's had babies...

  • Don't worry. Glider moms are very protective, and she will always go back to her baby.

  • Why was the baby making that noise?

  • They do that to call to their mothers when they're looking for them... but as you can see, the cage is right there, so she was right next to her mom.

  • oh yea, after i commented ur vid, i was like, wait she might want her mom. DUH!

  • They would also like to get in my shirt and climb into my bra. LOL!

  • i have 6 i started out w 2 but then she had 2 sets of twins. the first set was 2 girls razzal and dazzal the second was a boy and a girl named kiwi and bobby. the momma is a cinimon color the rest are more white. but when she was like HUGE like she had two walnuts in her pouch. the tails and legs would sometimes stick out and she would grab it and play with it unil they pull it back in it was so funny. but she would leave them in the pouch and i would stick m hand in and they would climb on it.

  • NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN!!!!

Its not really 1 day old, its just 1 day out of the pouch. When they're first born they're the size of a peanut. ;D

That one looks like its about 70 days old(thats when they gett bigger and start to grow fur). Bye Bye now~

  • How much are sugar gliders? pleaseeee help.

  • Usually between $100 and $150, depending on where you get them. If you want a different colour than the normal black and grey, it will cost a bit more.

  • hey, i live in north carolina, do you think they would have any in wilmington? if so how much would they cost for black and white or any color and how much online

  • It depends on if they're legal in North Carolina or not. You'll have to do some research and find out. If they are, then they'll be between $100 and $150, more than likely.

  • Hey :)

we just bought 2 sugar gliders and we live in north carolina tooo. we live in greensboro....and we got them at a craft fair..although they dont hand them out too anybody..you have to take a test and pass it, so they know it is going to a good home and all but they are legal. they were about $350 each and they are going to be great pets :) if you ever need any advice about them me and my sister can help you just email us back :)

  • aww poor baby looking for its mother well im sure ur not a bad owner

  • OMG I WISH I HAD A SURGAR GLIDER!!!!

  • Well I got one XD

  • OMAIGAWD! TOO CUTE! The crabbing sounds so odd coming from such a little guy but it's adorible.

  • that joey was adorable.

and the crabbing just gets me everytime :]

  • i luv baby gliders!! i wanna get a boy glider to get one of mine pregnant. My baby chinchillas are cute to. i love all 37 of my pets

  • its not crying its "crabbing".

sugar gliders make that noise when they are nervous or scared but they calm down eventually.

  • wat the noise meaning? crying??? wat should i do if my girl got pregnant?? need to change the cage?? becuz afraid the baby glider will drop from tall... =/

  • The noise is her calling for her mother. If you didn't want your glider to get pregnant, you should definitely look into getting your male neutered. You need to put a nesting box in her cage full of soft pieces of fleece. She will keep the baby in there, and it won't fall. And even if it did, you would be surprised how strong the babies are. They are capable of keeping themselves up on the bars.

  • OMG lol i thought that sound was coming from something else

    it scared me lol

  • i am not for or against handling gliders so soon of them being OOP (i have two myself) however, i do reccomend waiting about a week to start handling them. and yes, you are correct in saying that you should only handle them for about 5 min at a time, gradually increasing as time goes by. as for all you idiots that not only do not own sugar gliders, but have no idea what they are, get informed and get a life!

  • So true on the last part! :D

  • were do you breed

  • Pensacola, FL.

  • STOP TAKIN THE PUPS AWAY FROM THE MOM @ SUCH A YOUNG AGE! DO YOU WANT THEM TO DIE!?! DO YOU WANT THE MOTHER OF FATHER TO KILL THEM!?!... no... WELL THEN STOP HANDLEING THEM RIGHT OUT OF THE DAMN WOMB!

  • Obviously you're just as retarded as you sound. You must know nothing about gliders or you wouldn't be making a FOOL of yourself. You can handle newborn joeys for 5 minutes at a time from the day they come out of the pouch. And no, he did not come out of the "womb", he came out of a POUCH.

  • I agree. On websites if you search, they actually reccomend to often take them out of the pouch daily, so the mom gets used to the human touch. And then she won't mind the scent. :):)

  • yeh jinx I bread sugar gliders, and I can tell you there's no harm in handeling the little guys when they just come out, GRANTED the parents are bonded to you.

The little guy in this vid is not right of the womb, Marsupials don't gestate in that way. He's been out of the womb probably about 2 months now, and has been growing inside the mothers pouch.

  • againstvalentine is right!! your sposed to get them hen there really young like that so that wen they grow up they no your smell!!!

  • wow. dont you feel dumb now

  • cool!! :)

  • You breed? Do you sell? im looking to buy one in a few months.

  • Yes and yes :) One of my gliders already has a joey (or possibly joeyS) in the pouch. It will be able to go to a new home in about 3 months.

  • Ahh, sorry.

I get that question a lot. When I reply "sugar glider" most people say "what is that? A ferret?"

    Haha, wow.

I have sugar gliders too. :)

It's adorable, did you find out the sex?

  • Yes, the joey was a girl.

  • Not 'spose to be out of it's mother's pouch 'til it's several weeks old, you could have killed it. Also, you should get your gliders fixed. Breeding sugar gliders is highly illegal inless you have a permit.

  • It is several weeks old. It has already spent 8 weeks in the pouch. It is in it's second stage of development, which is out of the pouch. Also, I do have a permit. If you're going to leave snarky comments, please do your research first.

  • You are misinformed. You may sell sugar gliders in the united states as long as you have less than three breeding females. It is several weeks old... it is most likley 70-80 days old. The only thing wrong there is that you should not really handle the joey's for the first week or so.

  • k thx

  • lol the sugar glider does look like a little puppy :P im gonna get a sugar glider in a couple days... have any suggestions on food and toys and stuff like that?

  • I'm going to message you that answer since my response was apparently too long, and it's not letting me send it.

  • What is that? Is it a Dobernam dog? LOL

  • The title of the video is "1 day old SUGAR GLIDER joey." It's a sugar glider.

  • Yes I know I thought it looked like a dobernam, i was joking!!!!! hence the LOL

  • Ahh, sorry.

I get that question a lot. When I reply "sugar glider" most people say "what is that? A ferret?"
