  • Hi Jay, Have you tried a hefe wiessen or a dark hefe, before you did this beer review, just curious, Do you like belguim beers? I have not yet tried a belgium beer that I like. Occassionallly I like a jGuiness so I will be trying youngs oatmeal stout.

    Thanks

  • @tbreebo of course... im upt to 350 reviews and i have had over 1000 beers at this point in my life. not a huge fan of belgiums, sure there good beers, but i tend to like imperial stouts. if you can find youngs oatmeal still... grab them...great beer, and i understand they stopped making it.

  • A boddington's tulip glass?...no comment

  • @pamajosh whats wrong with the glass???

  • Great review. I'm really wanting to try that beer now.

  • and that was just my first review

  • southern tier pumking is awesome 2

  • it is. did you watch the video for it yet?

  • @jjrudy41 yeah man i always try to watch all of your videos. Keep up the good work. I also love this stuff 2. Im goin to pick up as much as i can tomorrow

  • cool.

  • I've heard often the phrase, "this isn't a beer to have on a hot day." I understand the concept behind that but it has me wondering what you've found to be an appealing beer on a hot day. Not necessarily brand but rather type/style.

  • @JAldwin

hefes or belgium whites are great on a hot day.

  • Thanks! Now I prepare for summer and start my voyage to find them...

  • no problem, there pretty easy to find. some examples of great ones... hoegartten is the best belgium white i have had, and hefes... go with schneider original, or weinstephaner hefe. paulaner is also good. stay away from crap like blue moon or majic hat circus boy.

  • were you a craft beer fanatic before deciding to post videos?

  • yeah i was already drinking craft beer for about a year and a half at that point.

  • now that was an excellent review, especially for your first one, just two things that I noticed... one that wasnt a tulip glass, a tulip glass is simular to a wine glass it has a stem on it that was just a standard pint glass... and two the carbontarion in the beer doesnt actually fall... it looks like it does but it actually fall it rises! good job

  • thanks. i have done that so long ago i look back ,and you see mistakes, and things i have since learned. yeah its like an english pint glass, just designed a little different.. i hope you check out my other reviews, and some of the newer ones as well, to see how far i have come. one thing though. nothing has beat the young's double chocolate stout. some have come pretty darn close though.

  • I agree, good first vid. However, if we shall get technical about glassware, the glass he used can acceptably be referred to as a tulip. There are two types of tulip glasses. One type is the glass shown in the video above. This glass can also be referred to as an english pint glass. The other type of tulip, as you mentioned, has a stem. It is appropriately and correctly termed as a stemmed tulip, I.E the traditional "Duvel" glass. So I suppose you and jjrudy41 are both correct.

  • well thanks for the info. that was actually very interesting to learn. glad you liked the video. hopefully you have checked out some of the other 40 something new videos i have done since.

  • is your buddy jjdaven by chance?

  • no. pure coincidence

  • ay dogg get back to OC customs, those motorcycles dont finish themselves

  • i used a glass, maybe i shouldnt have. it did have a widget.

  • i had one of those one time and was pretty disapointed. I need to try it again and this time use a better glass.

  • did you try glass or can? i like it in can, but that just me. i love hoe smooth it is.

  • congrats on passing 200 views!

  • thanks.

  • yep

  • Are you in your living rm
