Kiss in their HEYDAY!, Now,One thing I always notice is that Why most readers in the tube' always complaint or fight(Insults) for nothing???...Why ? Instead of focusing on the music and Revive those good memories from the past In peace.
Let me guess you were 10, went to a KISS concert in 77 and Paul thought you looked so hideous he wouldn't sign an autograph for your dumbass. I've actually followed you on a couple non-KISS videos too.
you will never find another band EVER to top this band. I've been a very strong, devoted fan since 1976 .....I was 5 years old then !!!! I saw the original KISS live twice in Canada.
Maybe in terms of popularity and what helped define the 70's and its spirit, but I beg to differ. Rush wrote far more compelling songs, even back then.
Moving Pictures(Rush's signature album)came out in the early 80's. Rush is an 80's band not the 70's. I agree with Arkane, when I think of hard rock in the mid to late 70's I think of Kiss.
I think some of the songs from "Moving Pictures" are some of the best liked among fans, and maybe some of the most well known, but it's highly inaccurate to consider Rush an 80's band and not a 70's band. Some of Rush's best and defining moments were in the 70's...albums like "A Farewell to Kings" and "Hemispheres" for instance. Not to mention "2112", which was arguably a more more signature album than "Moving Pictures".
Cygnus, your obviously a huge Rush fan and thats fine, I too am a Rush fan but you are comparing apples to oranges when comaring Rush and Kiss. Two totally different types of bands. Also, don't mention albums like 2120 and Hemispheres when talking about Rush's glory days. Rush started filling stadiums after Moving Pictures, other than in Canada, they were an opening act before that album.
Well Mr Rush fan, it's 2112, not 2120. Thanks for the input but I still think it's a fair comparison. The time when Rush started filling stadiums doesn't have anything to do with the comparison either. I'm talking about their music, not their popularity.
Cygnus, don't give me the "Rush Fan" stuff because I made a typo. 2112 is not a good album, Moving Pictures is, so is Signals. The albums sell and people come to see the band when they hear it on radio. Thats how it works. You can sit in your basement and listen to albums like Hemispheres and 2112 and the first Rush album and think they are great but they aren't, they suck. The issue was is Kiss more 70s than Rush. Why do you find the need to start an argument that you are not going to win
