If you listen to Modest mouse, you should know the lyrics are never straight forward and as literal as to mean exactly what they're written as. I'm not saying it's about pot, but so far that's what makes the most sense.

the way you edited the video doesn't make sense at all. you just skipped from angle to angle with total disregard to timing and style. putting one effect on the entire video, coupled with the fact that the background was the same throughout makes the video BORING. all modest mouse videos have some sort of story, but yours doesnt, therefore you lose.

yeah fire qualities to this video is really generic and the typical thing people would do, but to go along with the "sea" theme throughout the new album this video does good.  Best video for fire it up

I like this version better than the flame ones. With the water and the filter on the film here, this one still has just enough continuity with modest mouse's style. Actually it reminds me a little bit of float on. The other vids were too... just too.

the effects you use to make it look like old film really work here and solve some of the quality problems with youtube,not he typical scratched and grainy film effect you see on tv so much.the water has a nice shimmer
