The reason Axl the owner of the name is because he threatened not to go on stage and the last time that happend a few people died because they were trampled during a riot. Because Slash and Duff actually have human hearts they signed over the name. And Axl started it as much as the other 4. Just because the first incarnation was named by Axl doesn't mean he started it. And if your wondering, I didn't make any of that up. Slash, Duff, and Steven wrote Rocket Queen in a band called Road Crew. Izzy (pre Axl era) wrote It's So Easy. And the bit about Axl not going on unless there was a signature? Read both Slash and Duff's books. And yes if you ask any GN'R member there were 2-4 tramplings.Dumbass

@asdfkie I must admit I think VR are alright (when functioning), but I agree with you. This has far more in common with the innovative GNR sound of old than VR's music. People fail to realise that the creative core of GNR was always Axl and Izzy, they wrote most of all the previous records. Slash might be a more charismatic figure but that doesn't mean he is the creative force. Chinese Democracy was great, a truly classic GNR record and I can't agree with those who say otherwise.
