  • Hes uneven most likely from it being too light. Military press' are great, very effective in getting your shoulders built correctly, though, i wouldnt suggest sitting like he is, unless you have a bowflex.

  • 1 star. (shaking my head in disbelief) Poor form (did you see how he brought the BB down past his armpits? That'll wreck your back). Can't do this exercise heavy without a rack or a spotter. If you MUST do this alone its better to clean the bar to your chest and do the reps while standing OR if you can't do that, then you can switch over to a seated dumb bell shoulder press. That allows you to go heavy and its much safer to perform solo than using a barbell.

  • On howcast there is a program where you sign up to make the videos. They send you the script, extras (like the intro and such), and access to a library of music. You need to film and edit one video and submit it. If they like it and think then they will put you on the list and send you assignments. The assignments are hi rated wiki guids from there website. For each video you get paid $50.

  • You shouldn't bring the bar down as far as he did. Bring it down until your elbows form a 90 degree angle. Any farther won't give you a better workout and will only increase your chance of injury.

  • You're right...past 90 degrees you're using more of your lats, in which case the bar is forcing your back to push it up. Better off at that point with a pull-down.

  • i think he meant when you use more weight. your supposed to work out until you cant any longer thus needing some one to pull the wight off of you, the way to avoid this is to understand your limitations and work out till the point you will only have enough energy to remove the bar off of you safely.

  • @bglad4life - They are doing a demonstration on how to do the lift no a spotter isn't necessary, but it's for demonstration.
