I have a friend with a 335d(E92) with no mods on and he raced against a 550i and 645i and beat both of them,especially the 550iby approximately 3 and half car lengths.
535 is not faster than 550 that is so stupid probably its the driver because 550 has a 4.8 engine and thats a big diferrence so i would recomend deleting ths vedio ....
the 328 and 335 have the same engines as the 528 and 535(respectively). And the 3- series is lighter, more nimble, and less of a passenger/carrying capacity oriented car. moron
335's have all dynoedbetween 270 and 280hp at the wheels which translates into around 330hp. with that small of a difference the 550i and 335i would be a very even match. They both run 4.9 0-60's as well
I agree with you 545i is the silver one.550i is black. My 05 545i and my dad's 08 550i front bumper is different. He got side markers on the front bumper and it somewhat look almost like a mtech bumper.
So the 550i and the 335i are basically neck in neck there, eh? This is great news because, while I love my new 335ci, I want to sell it end of '08 and buy a used 08 550i! Then hopefully I can save up enough for an M5. :)
its easy to eff up in an smg... i've gone past a gear or two a couple of times, and its thrown me off... even with heavy rims, etc, the 550 has plenty of hp/tq to make up for it... that'd be a tight race tho if it were a little longer, and done a few times to get an even picture
your/the 335i has the procede in other videos you host. Does it have it here? cuz you said its stock but its pulling mad fast from that 550, even with those heavy rims...
Yes this is when my car was stock. the 550 is smg 1 so i thikn he might have been in the wrong gear. I have another video of me and the 550 racing. It should be here in you tube somewhere.

It was an early start of your 335i, and even so the 550i was picking up speed faster then you, so he would have closed the gap in 2-3 seconds. after that you would have had no chance to keep up with him. We tested it several time in germany on autobahn with no speedlimit. Even my old E39 540i with 6speed manual and M5 Diff kept up with the E92 335i Coupe, and won to an 335i sedan and a Z4 sdrive35. And the E60 550i beat me!

a 335d or 535d is a different story. ECU modified they can keep up with an E39 M5 and so with any M3 to date.

I drive a 2004 545i and the gray one is definitely a 5451 all you have to do is look at the rims and front end.
