Bone-building drugs Fosamax and Actonel look like a disaster

Actonel just about killed me. I can't believe they are still prescribing it. The makers of this should be accountable and also the cold hearted doctors who dole it out like candy.

Osteoporosis is not a disease, and it is certainly not life-threatening! It is merely a process of aging. The only concern about Osteo. has been with hip fractures in the elderly--but it turns out that only half the elderly who fracture their hips have osteoporosis! Dementia and Frailty have more to do with it. And the odds of breaking your hip when you're old is less than 5%.

So all these 50-yr-olds are taking these dangerous bisphosphonates for nothing! Do not trust Sally Field.

I say just use what nature intended. People should educate themselves about what they can do naturally to improve their bones
