World war 2 got us out of the depression. If you know your history you will know that we didn't truly start to get out of the depression till the mid 40's. Yes, I am listening to what I am saying. It is the biggest mistake of recent us history to say he got us out of the depression. He gave people jobs and footed the bill. World war 2 got us out of the depression. If you know your history you will know that we didn't truly start to get out of the depression till the mid 40's. Even after the war we still weren't as strong as we were in the 50's. This whole mess was started by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. It should have stopped there.
