About 2 weeks, maybe 3. But DONT touch them wen u first see them, the mother hamster will abondon them, eat them, etc. So, ya..2 or 3 weeks!!

I remember, when I was 8, I walked over to my hamsters cage to say hi. She was carrying a pink baby in her mouth. I didn't know what it was and I thought she had like ate something gross. So I started screaming. Then I figured out they were babies, and I thought she was eating them so I freaked out again. Until, my mom came and told me to calm down. She had 7 little babies. :D And the store said it was a boy.

It's just nature taking it's course. The mother might have sensed the baby wasn't normal, or going to die. Rather than just let it die and rot, the mother chose to dispose of it. Just a guess.

If they're anything like mice, then no. My brother and I used to have mice and we always got the same gender, first two boys, then the second set we got 2 girls. Both sets ended up fighting after being together for a while. It may take like, a month, but eventually, they'll start fighting :( It's cute while it lasts though.

actually you CAN disturb them at that age..ive done it so many times..as long as you've owned the mother for a long time and she's used to your scent there is no issue...so much you know...you can actually pick them up and hold them in your hand..you just have to be careful..you can even feed them too if their mom won't
