Great stuff! Now what's going on with Colin during Black Star (starting around 54:00)? He is way off pitch and getting the death stare from Thom at 54:40. I wonder what happened?
@browninky sounds like his E string is out of tune so he had 2 transpose all low notes 2 a higher octave on other strings hard 2 do,but he pulled it off :)
The funny thing with this video was that I had to flip the content. What I mean is, the DVD has the show first, then the two interviews and finally the bonus tracks.
I uploaded it in that format 3 times but it didn't get HD, so I moved the interviews to the front and show to the end, and viola, it worked.
I think it has to do with YouTube detecting the quality of the video, and the first interview was a lot less noisy than the show, so it was given the thumbs up for 'HD'.
These guys are actually really funny. I seriously lol'd a couple of times during the interview. Especially when Colin was comparing Jonny's guitar to a phallus.
Oh, man. The sound guy must've mixed Jonny really low for that last concert bit. You can hardly hear him! Shame. : ( I've noticed that happens quite a lot for videos captured of Creep live performances. Maybe it's because the vocals are so distinctive.
i haven't even watched more than 2 seconds of it yet. just wanted to point out how good looking Ed was and is. And to think he was the chubby one before this... at least how the pics look.
It's what happens to sensitive artists I think. Just think of the way they were exalted after OK Computer's release and how that simply bordered on mania. They suddenly found themselves to be this massively important rock band, something they were obviously not prepared for especially Thom. It could be pretty daunting having to carry the burden of Rock's brightest prospect and the pressure could easily crush your spirit if you're not up to it which is exactly what happened post OK Computer.
Youre right and then with the vast number of tracks they write post OK. Com. they had to split the next in two albums and thom has said he didnt like the sound of his own voice thats why they used digital and going a step further they wanted to try "techno" or "digital" music ...love them nice to hear a comment from someone who knows there stuff ...saw them last year and thom just did show with flea on bass look up thom at ecoplex or sumthing like that..his new solo album due soon!!!
Thanks! Yeah, I saw that show on YouTube. I thought it was really cool and it's very informative to hear his creative process through a different filter (i.e. not Radiohead). Still though, I really hope this solo stuff Thom's doing lately won't end up being the warning bell for the end of Radiohead. He's brilliant, but as far as I'm concerned Radiohead breaking up for any reason would just be a waste and seeing them give up would sort of discolor for me everything they've achieved as Radiohead.
I do think Thom is quite sick of Radiohead which is not at all a shock considering how long they've been together. However, it remains to be seen whether or not this side band with Flea would prosper into something more than just that. Personally, I tend to think of it as Thom's day off more than anything else. He needs to get this out of his system now, a way of unwind so to speak. And most of The Eraser stuff simply doesn't go with Radiohead anyway so this solo project is all for the best.
@SilverestFuel you think to much about a guy you'll never know. it doesn't matter that YOU think thom yorke is sick of radiohead because you don't know any of the members, you're talk holds no water... just talk talk talk.
Kid A/Amnesiac was Thom's way of deflecting excessive praise and love from the critics and fans they gained through OK Computer. It's also in simpler terms, Radiohead's way of spurning the overly excitable rock critics who were all geared to box them as the greatest arena rock band to come along since U2. As for Thom's solo stuff, not much of a fan to be quite honest. However I do understand how essential it is to Radiohead's survival, if they are to make more records.
haha this whole thing is so damn 90's. and awesome.

It's really weird to see how different they perceive the fame pre and post OK C. In these interviews they seem full of joy with it all.

I've not left just yet :P flying in just over 11 hours time. About to head to sleep for 6/7 hours and then get up and go.
Not looking forward to having to say goodbye to my bro's and parents. Already said goodbye to my sisters tonight and that wasn't too emotional.
The crazy thing is, is that I'm uploading one more concert tonight, and will make it public tomorrow when I've arrived at home in Mississauga.
Ohhhhhh boy.

You're uploading yet another concert? Oh the excitement!
What is it? No, wait... don't tell me... Actually, is it a recent one? Alright, DO tell me, come on....please? ;o)
Also: have a safe journey! :o)
