i growed up watching sesame street ( Barrio Sesamo they translated it for the spanish tv) , i was born on 71, but our bloody Franco dictatorship will not allow this program to be passed on tv, i always did wonder what was so dangerous on that program than the bloody fascist didnt want the kids of that time to learn. I saw the very first show on TV my son was 3. We couldn't wait until it came on at 9:00. My son did not move from the TV until it was over. What a show and we continue to donate to help support every year. It must always be. My grandsons watched it and I hope their children. The kids were different like mine they got dirty they ran they played they loved the animals. Now kids stay inside on the computers and no fun with animals. Times are changing

I think the PEOPLE have truly spoken here. I have viewed several different segments of old t.v. shows on here from The "A" Team to Gillagans Island, The MUMSTERS, Today's Special, Pinwheel and of course our most beloved SESAME STREET, PLUS others that we ALL LOVED as kids and STILL DO! And from what I know most kids love these show as well, my son does at least. So why doesn't the big media corps/company put them back on. Ah, Sesame St. like I remember it. Funny thing, those kids in the above intro including the kids singing the theme are likely in their early to mid 40's by now. These days they are lawyers, pastors, dentists, teachers, truck drivers, police, engineers, IT pros, pilots, etc. In this economy, I'll bet some are out of work (like me) Maybe even 1 or 2 of them in prison, who knows?

Omg it totally has always done that to me. I grew up on Sesame Street and was a very nostalgic and connected to the show as I grew up. When I hear the theme song, I almost always get teary eyed. I think it just makes me think of being a kid and the innocence and everything being OK back then.
