Another gnasher rapist. The whole idea of a shotgun is for close range combat. Yeah given, you can use it pretty well but it doesnt really make you a true "good" gears player till you can use most weapons efficiently. The lancer is just as good ya know ;)

what are peoples problem with the sawnoff? Its not easy to use, and takes skill. Ive seen plenty of knasher players who just pop shot after shot off in quick sucession trying to get lucky. You know that you have to be acurate and time your shot with the SSG. The reload is slow, so you have to pull out some tricky dives and wall bounces as well. If its such a noob gun, then why do most gears fans seem to need 8 shots to get their kill? Retro and SSG for me, I hope you all hate me Kuboom!!!

@CrackerHumps im guessin this is your 1st gears experience? if so, then id recommend going through campaign on hardcore, if you're new that is. and use the Gnasher a lot, using the sawd off will teach you nothing cuz it requires no skill to use.

these days i notice alot of lv100s, so just dont get discouraged and keep on even if you dont get a good k/d ratio at 1st.

i used to get like 5-6 kills a match in gears 2, now im gettin about 15-20.

patience is the key and NEVER rush in blind.

@dirkyd3rk Depends on your play style. If you're a wall-bouncer, I'd suggest getting used to the higher Look sensitivities. This will help you turn on people CoD style. If your a gnasher guy, and aren't afraid to aim in, up your target sensitivity to >15. Here are my settings.

-LOOK SENSITIVITY: 20 (highest)

-TARGET SENSITIVITY: 20 (highest)

-ZOOM SENSITIVITY: 18-20

-VIBRATION: OFF

I turn vibration off because it seems to help wit the hammerburst.

Whatever is comfortable for you. Find your own preferences, since there is no "best" sensitivity to play on. I myself play on the highest settings throughout the board, since I am used to a higher sensitivity because I play a lot of shooters on high sensitivity.

Just mess around with the sensitivity settings a bit.

I love the multiplayer, but there are really 2 things I can complain about.

1. Shotguns seem way too overused. Can't say how many times I've gone for a chainsaw kill only to be shot point-blank by a sawed-off.

2. I hate it when I down an enemy and go for an execution, only to have some douche on my team shoot him before I get there.

1. Try not to use the chainsaw too much - it's usually very helpful when you're behind a wall and you see an enemy running up to it / past it. If this happens, wait until he gets close, rev the chainsaw and run out and kill him. Or you could use a shotgun.

2. Simple. Don't execute so much - usually it's better to simply shoot him to finish him off - quicker, less risk, etc. And I don't think you get all that much less XP than an execution.

quick tip for those who don't know.

In gears 3 when u get downed, if u stand still and u dont move and tap A like crazy then u will be back up very fast. This is something to keep in mind in cases when u get downed at the same time as ur oppenent in a shotty duel and such.

Guess Ima quitter, I quit MoH on 360 within 24hrs. If you die once, you got spawn sniped for the rest of the game. As soon as you hit the respawn button, before you could move, you were giving someone a headshot. They patched it though...5 months later.
