@wrather Did you just say Elijah Craig 12years old is not good?I know everybody has their own opinions but Evan Williams Black label is way more cheaper bourbon than the EC12.The Evan Williams Vintage2000 is a better complex bourbon than the EC12 but by only a little.The EC12 is one of the best tasting bourbons you can buy at a decent price.Anyone who says the EC12 is nasty should stick with their Gin and Tonic,Tequila Sunrise,or Johnny Walker on Coke.You probably drink it with coke anyways.
I am in the middle of evaluating Elijah Craig 12 yr, at first I disliked the EC because of a bit of bitter taste, and would only drink it with cola. Giving it a second chance I found that this bourbon does well with no ice and no chase. For the first time I have captured a vanilla essence in the nose that is new to me. The whiskey is complex, and carmel like just as Ike suggests. It still is not on my favorites list, but the reasonable price will keep me coming back.
@Zyworski Whiskey is marvelously complex, and the many varieties can make it a lifetime journey always offering something new and interesting.
