I was told not to eat bread,. Why would you continue to try to eat something that makes you choke? You don't show any commitment at all. I lost 25 lbs the first month after surgery. LOVE MY BAND. Have been obese since I was in elementary school and had it when I was 51. Use your head and do research before you have surgery. Nobody will lose the weight for you. The band is a tool to help you, not stop you from stuffing cake and milk shakes and bread down your throat even though you are choking!

I am having This month a Lap Band Removal. I am living the Hell with the Stupid Lap Band. Yessss BIG time Failure the Lap Band. Not always work and not every Body is the Same. We have different reaction to the Lap Band. I rather loose weight on my own. I learned my lessions.... I hate Lap Band.... I have now Ulser, acid and i trow up all the time. No more Lap Band for me.!!!!!

very interesting...Can this surgery be "undone" as well? Meaning can the tube be taken out and the stomach be reconnected and put back to normal size along w/replacing the intestine? or is it permanent?

I haven't had any of the surgeries yet, but I DO want to know why I see a stray staple just laying inside the abdomen at 4:51? Please answer me??If I was to get one of the surgeries it definately wouldn't be from YOU, especially if you leave things lying around inside while on camera. I can only imagine what you do when you're not posting to YOUTUBE.

I had Lap-Band surgery in 2005 and I an not losing and in fact have gained wieght to the point that I wiegh now more than I did before surgery. Problem food. Bread, I have had saliva choke me to the point of my eyes watering. my band is 0.6 cc away from being completely full. This is so discouraging. I would not recommend the Lap-Band to noone.

@fannysmack I agree, the only way yu can fail is if you dont change your attitude toward food and excersise, Ive lost 4 and a half stone so far from the lap band :D 4 more to go !

I would have done anything to have a lap band, even go to Mexico, so crazy i know (but now i think MGB, would be better then a Foreign object in my body (no pun intended) I have BMI of 43ish yikes. Question what is the down time on a MGB?

What do You think about gastric balloon surgery ? I mean I am 21 years old and weight 96 kg, so I dont want/need gastric bypass... And yes I cant lose weight just with diets. (I have been bigger than others for all my life) Hopefully You can help and sorry for mistakes I just started to learn english....
