  • Thank you so much for this video. I am new to canning and am so excited to learn. There is an even easier way to grow your own fresh veggies and herbs. Its called The Bucket Garden! I have one in my back yard and love it!

  • @1000Classics Go on...we're listening...if you don't mind, send us a message explaining what it is, we're curious!

  • @TheFoodChannel The Bucket Garden is an inexpensive, low water use, green gardening system that provides nutritious food for you and your family. It appears he is taking the best of hydroponics gardening, organic gardening and has wrapped it up in a high bred container garden. Ted Hallett, The Garden Master designed the system with over 30 years of research and experience.

  • I am wondering if I would be able to make a Salsa with onion, cilantro, green peppers, jalapenos, and chopped tomatoes, all without cooking them and doing a cold pack method similar to this??

  • I like this method. Easy and it seems so much more natural, than adding a bunch of seasonings! I am taking this recipe. Thanks! You can always add the spices into your sauces that you cook.

  • what about adding garlic or basil, or onions to jazz up the flavor?

  • what kind of salt?

  • Hello great video what is the pickling salt? And where can I buy those tools that you are picking stuff up with? And how long will they last in the pantry

  • @stylst0123 pickling salt is just a fine grain salt that dissolves easy in cold water. It is the same as regular salt I believe. You can buy most of your canning supplies at your local food market or walmart/kmart. depending on where you live. even home depot and lowes sells it.. tomatoes will last a year for sure, if you did it right, sometimes 2 years.. good luck. and ALWAYS smell your food before you stick it in your mouth.. your nose always knows.. good luck..

  • @hydynryk Pickling salt is regular salt but fine like you said but it also is free of iodine or anti caking agents which can cause your canned food to turn brown.

  • Ok, I just made your pickles and they turned out great. Now it's time for tomatoes. Thanks for the videos.
