see "Tribute to James Blood Ulmer 'Rhymeless' " where I do my best to honor the harmelodic madness a freakaform funk-punk that Damu Mustafa Abdul Mussawir dreamt of and laid upon the world.
Also James B Ulmer visited 25 or 26 Oct 1983 Gdańsk and his short concert in the hall of University of Polytechnic in Gadńsk was wonderfull. I was there as a young student. Songs from LP Black Rock. Perfect !
23 Oct. 1983 & what a great performance & all that under the Martial Law in Poland!! James B Ulmer is one of my favourites on the jazz/blues scene of all time. I loved his Tales of Captain Black, the record from the same period, supplemented with Ornette Coleman.
What a performance, you rarly get to witness any jazz artits as agile like this on stage absolutely outstanding, this went straight to my favorites after the first 30 seconds.
:49 happens to me all the time.
