They were the Hindle brothers i think? yeah the acting was shocking (to be fair to them most of it was) I kind of have some nostalgic feeling for the show to be honest- my friend Jon has gone on to be succesful in TV i understand so thats good :0)
Alan Yentob was an idiot to axe this show, admittedly it was rubbish to start with but every show has its teething troubles. Towards the end it got really good and the last episode was brilliant.
As I remember it ran from June 1992-June 1993,exactly a year.I am quite surprised, but pleased, that I am not the only one who enjoyed this. I think at the time it was the "in thing" to criticise it and be the butt of many people's jokes.I think many of the people who did criticise it didn't watch it regularly.I think in time it would have been very popular.
@TGLCS It was in July both years but yeah, it was the in-thing to do to slag it off (but it was the same for EastEnders- I remember when that began, everyone said it was awful for about a year).
A Guy i went to College with (and copied off..) played one of those stuid brothers who ran the bar ! I called him Jon Bollox because every other word that came out of his mouth was actually that !...Please dont bring it back, it was Bollox .. lol
@Holygasoline i think i remember them, were they the Swindle brothers or something? Their acting was shocking and they were both axed if I remember right
it was brilliant and I said so from the start.

The axing was a political act - Alan who? Doesn't he do weird documentaries now and comes across as intelligent?? How can he be if he axed Eldorado.
and...it had more viewers when it was axed than Corrie and Eastenders today!! Madness.

I've never seen this soap. Was it only broadcast in 1992 or did it live to see '93?
