Most helpful detail tutorial i've seen yet. Great job! =D

  • I liked this tutorial, until the lighting part came.

While I do agree simple maps could be made so much better with light varietly, especially near things that are important, I disagree with tinting lights. It doesn't really make sense for all the lights to look identical and orange, and then have a broken one that's blue. It looks totally out of place and is distracting.

    Otherwise, great tutorial!

  • @ZeronFXL It does, actually.

Turn off the lights, mute the sound and set the video to 720p. Now, look at that scene very carefully. The dark oranges give it a sort of eerie feeling. According to color theory, orange is supposed to bring a sense of peace and safety, which it would, but with the flickering blue light, it gives the hallway an ominous appearance. That safe orange light at the end now looks frightening, like there could be a monster behind that door.

  • @MaximillianZakes Nice comments :D

  • @MaximillianZakes I agree.

When I made that comment the most I knew about lighting was how to make light shine from the skybox :P
