This was wonderful! Lila was an awesome character and Anna Lee was such a beautiful,classy lady. I do agree with Jed Allan as Edward - it just wasn't right. It was a terrible recast and to have him portray Edward at the time of Lila's death, just took away from Edward and Lila's love story. The feeling just was not there. David Lewis and John Ingle are the only Edwards!
The one thing that really bothers me and makes me angry is that GH/ABC let Anna Lee go and treated her horribly; then they fired John Ingle (Edward) and brought in Jed Allan, who I like as an actor, but never had a single scene with Anna Lee as Lila. Since David Lewis (original Edward) was gone, it was only fitting that John should have been in the scenes with Lila's death/funeral. Without John, Edward's emotions just weren't there, you didn't feel it.
@laddie64 I agree a million percent. The NEW writters have NO respect for the vetern actors / acteress that bought life into General Hospital. The either fired them are rarely rarely show them. Anna Lee /Lila was a class act and a classy lady and the powers that be ar G.H. treated her like shit by fireing a 90 year old LADY. But they did give Lila a good beatiful goodby, they must have feared getting murdered by cast members
Lovely tribute video. Lila was the matriarch of the Quartermaines and she held that family together. No matter how "dysfunctional" the Qs were, she loved them all. Anna Lee was a beautiful lady and a talented actress. Heaven gained a perfect angel when Anna passed away.
you had me crying from the start. I loved David Lewis and Edward treated her like a queen. Tracy behaved her best with "mother" around and all the grandkids were so sweet and adored her. It was such a beautiful video. I must leave now and wipe my tears. Thanx.
