  • quiet sad that a place like this is destroyed bro

  • dude what the f**** bro i cant believe you stud there for 5 minuets bro you brave and cool

  • This is so 2011.

  • Watch the video "EXTREME JAPAN TSUNAMI" there should be four parts. Part 2 of the series you will see the man on the roof filming this. AWESOME!!!

  • how is this man who's taking the video now..?

  • Once it stops it all flows back in the opposite direction, causing even more damage....and there may be several surges like this. Amazing, but horrible for the people living there.

  • Wow I'm so sorry... That is really horrible... Such a wonderful place just devastated ):

  • I don't believe in what I see here. It's incredible example of power of nature. Looks like some catastrophic hollywood movie.

  • THE TSUNAMI WENT NON-STOP!! ;\ dude, thumbs up if you were in you mind thinking "why wont it stop!!its destroying that beautifull town!"

  • oh noe at 2:22 , hope no one was in the green house :c

  • soo terrifying and sad, the world most destructive Tsunami ever happened..

  • Amazing footage of the tsunami.

  • i saw a vid where this kid ran inside and his mom asked where his dad was and he said he rode off on his bike my dad dont think he survibed

  • lol

  • @scubbadubba123, balls of steel? What choice did he have, where could he have gone? Lol If I knew the building I was on would withstand the force of the tsunami then I'd stay up there too

  • This guy should win an award for best cellphone-cameraman.

  • I look at this video with awe and fright as well as scientifically (*and armature scientific) ok here is my break down first this guys looks like he is maybe 30 to maybe 40 ft. above the parking lot. It took 58 sec.For the carport below to be inundated. In two minutes time a building that is at least 25 ft all got swept away. the third story of the building across start getting water intrusion with in 5 min.

The tremendous force and the minimal time is horrific. Guys has some steel balls!!

  • you might say im crazy but i want to experience a big earthquake and tsunami. i wish i was in kona when it happened. that would have been very interesting (to me)

  • hola

  • tsunami's are so deceptive. At first you think its not going to make it very far inland but then the water level keeps rising and before you know it your sprinting for your life.

  • why does anybody here think that ranting on about there beliefs under this video makes any difference in the world?

  • never too late to convert...

  • AWESOME

  • That´s what you never see in catastrophic movies. There is (usually) one big explosion, big wave etc., but in reality it just keeps coming and coming and coming...

  • hmmm...Seems like the seismic activities raised the see floor level...causing the water level to rise and thus flooding water onto anything that's below the "new sea level."

Water damage aside, that water looks very toxic...

  • There goes the neighborhood...

im sorry I had to say it

  • I keep thinking its going to calm down, it looks bad a the beginning but just gets worse and worse the power is just amazing. Im in awe of the power of nature but at the same time feel for the Japanese. The past is past despite what horrors where committed

  • Just is so overwhelming, how can we even understand it all.

  • Are u fuking joking!! U americans are fukin retarded wankers! What goes around! Fuck u!! U fukin nuked japan and killed millions and effected millions more than they did in pearl harbour!! Ur fukin brainwashed faggits!! Fuck the americans who think this u utter wankers! This is a tradgedy that we should all hope 4 the best for the japanese!!

  • Sins of japans cruel past, comes haunting the 3nd generation. Whats goes around comes around. in remembrance of the atrocities the japanese imperial army

  • @lanclion

All countries have sins in the past! How is your country balance?Has he paid it already? Were your ancestors good guys? Do you know it for real? From your comment I would watch my back....you know... what goes around comes around...like unfortunate comments.

  • I was waiting for the water to overflow into the building he was standing on...good thing it didn't...

well, in the video it didn't...:(

  • This is a tragic event. Tragic enough without the nuclear issues. But the nuclear issues are the result of years of pencil whipping "regulators" in Japan who were supposed to be inspecting these plants. And I can't understand why their fail safe systems were as poorly designed as they were. It's not like Japan is technologically deficient or something. And now the world has a more negative view of nuclear energy. We NEED to embrace nuclear power. It is safe when handled properly. RIP

  • This is crazy

  • I don't think it's a laughing matter.

  • poor japan :(

  • how long is this wave?

  • indeed most amazing video so far ive seen of this tsunami ,god bles human race

  • It's amazing, watching it coming, I would have never thought that the water would have gotten that high and created so much devastation.

  • Were people not warned about the tsunami?? If I was warned just say an hour in advance I would drive as far inland as possible!

  • @CarrigeenKing Yes people were warned but it took the tsunami a couple of mins to come.

  • I wonder how long it took for the water to return to normal level?

  • @CarrigeenKing Weeks

  • every now and then nature reminds us who's boss

  • Who had the bright idea of building below sea level of an ocean? on a fault line? in the ring of fire? And why are there neighborhoods by nuclear plants, when the unexpected can wipe out a vast area? According to dude, the radiation is about to wipe out japan if 10,000 is instant death, and the plant is emitting 10,000,000,000. That much radiation is certain to reach us over here. This is major.

  • @choclatdrop16 Have you forgotten that the United States also has Nuclear Power Plants and anything can happened to any one of them, also look up 3 Mile Island Nuclear Power Plant Disaster, which was the First and hopefully the last Nuclear Disaster in the United States.

  • @EvilFingers, I'm aware of that which is why I am as prepared as much as I can. I just dont' understand why one would build a nuclear plant under sea level, on a fault line in the ring of fire. You can almost guarantee MAJOR earthquakes in that environment, yet theres a nuclear plant there. That's like me parking under a leaning tree every night while living 10 ft from some railroad tracks, then I'm horrified when the tree falls on my car.

  • @EvilFingers Where else can one build a Nuclear Power Plant in Japan, since Japan is an Island Nation?

  • Press 1, then press 8.

    It's just crazy.

  • i dont understand the 107 likes?

  • Holy Jesus Christ~

  • Isnt your one taking this maybe a little bit worried about the impending water?

  • if you look at the start and then skip to the end, the difference is just insane!

  • @liveskaterock my god!

  • i dont know to like this or dislike this cuz its a disaster but its informative

  • @TheRockAltitudeCR its fucking hilarious hahahahahahhahah

  • @iPwnYouNoobsx i don't think at any point in the clip did i feel it was hilarious, i just thought the power of nature and the sea in particular was awesome.

  • @deblaaman i laughed

  • Incredible footage....god help those poor people

  • The whole town is swept away. That is one nasty tsunami!

  • Did any1 see the one of it spreading over the countryside with loads of debris and cars in it? It looked black, and it was catching up with the cars on the motorway. Imagine seeing THAT on your way home from work :L

  • that is a lot of fucking water

  • Oh my Japanese friend meant "Huge Wave" Not "Huge Rave", My bad!

  • Comment removed

  • I genuinely feel scared watching this, Its terrifying ..):

  • WOOOOAH PRESS 2 THEN PRESS 9

  • 2 dislikes? What, you didn't want this to be seen?

  • ahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • look at the scene at 1:24 then skip tp 3:59...

  • Appalling devastation. I hope people there were able to reach high ground beforehand.

  • I just can't even understand or take in what I'm looking at. Absolutely astounding. My heart goes out to the people of Japan.

  • JESUS

I thought to myself......Hey, I would climb on top of the car shed, then that dissapeared.................so I thought oops, better climb the pole and that dissapeared...............then the the whole fecking town dissapeared. Absolutely astounding video.

  • The town just got literally swept in away in less than 4 minutes ..... Woah :O

  • I just cant believe this is real!!

  • Can I just point out at 2:52 he points and says "Hito!" which means person. Oh jesus...

  • Comment removed

  • Unbelievable!! Little late with the siren though

  • A 20 to 25 foot tsunami at this point. Reminds me of the word "Irresistible force".

  • lala52211, the karate championships in japan was training for the actual fight in Thailand. MY brother in going to be as back up.

  • what was that guy saying ?

  • @aaronhiggins100 At 2:55 he says that there is someone in the water

  • run for you lifes!!!

  • If this happened in Florida, there would not be a soul left alive.

  • u knwo what i wonder that where the hell will the wrold karate chamionship be held

  • was that an alarm or a guy screaming at the start?

  • Sean12772, the Japanese guy that took the footage already posted this video on youtube. Hope you didnt pinch it without credit.....

  • The most incredible tsunami video and there are some good ones from Japan. The volume of water is phenomenal.

  • For all our might and ingenuity, when the sea comes ashore, we surrender and let Providence takes its course. We have no choice. My thoughts are with the people of Japan.

Sincerely ... Walter Garbotz, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

  • whats crazy is the following: stuff like that happened in the past, too, right? really, its no wonder that people believed in god and such when stuff like that occurred.

  • I had no idea that was what a Tsunami was like. Slowly and steadily destroying everything in it's path. Scary...

  • Effect of earthquake Dead and missing,2.8522 watch?v=Ann27T6JTek watch?v=Ct9GEaWAmJg This is the tsunami watch?v=Y3IOgIRZrJw? Japanese firefighters This is Japanese watch?v=K_0Vi0RpIYk1 Family is dead Girls cry, Mom... This is currently
  • The camera person is truly a professional. Not a peep through the whole event! They'd be bleeping out the explatives if I were behind that thing.

  • My god, every time I see one of these clips it's still incredible to me what these poor people are going to do to rebuild.

  • I never seen such power

  • holy shit!

  • I am glad I was'nt there. We all needto help the people of Japan rather than bombing North Africans.

  • wow

  • i wonder if lionel richie will dedicate a song for japan

  • How in the world did he remain so calm?

  • @mynamesmiked I think that its a culteral thing. I know I would have been praying to every religion and screaming like a .............. like a guy screaming for his life. If you notice in all of the tsunami videos... there is very little screaming and panic. They are a solid people in that regard.

  • now this is the video i've been looking for

  • simply incredible

  • Holy Mary, how does anyone live on after this :@(

Please support My Chemical Romance, in their quest to support Japan and think yourselves very lucky to be living anywhere else than here right now.

Peace - Sing it for Japan x

  • Cool!

  • Terrible

  • Were there people seen at about 2:30 on the green roof that collapsed and crashed into the grey building?

  • @daxureisidiot Nah, those are just parts of the roof.

  • If it wasn't for the fact that so many people died, which is tragic, this would be almost comical.

  • The water looks so slow and weak, but look at the damage it did. Really hard to wrap around my mind.

  • the ppl there must have been wondering how high the water would get and if they were even safe in these big buildings they were in.

  • fuck...

  • Devastating. I can not even imagine what these people are going through.

  • When it just started you are like, "It's just a little bathtub spill over, it's still good it's still good." Then you see the cars floating by and you go," "Oh it's just cars, they are light, and easy to replace... it's still good." THEN you see the water hit the building and go past it... "Ummmm..." THEN you see that building disappear and watch as things fall apart, "Oh ... SHIT." And from there you are just watching with mouth open in extreme horror.

  • @TripleZ89 Good assessment

  • @TripleZ89 i laughed too

  • WOW JUST WOW!!!!

  • its nature saying get off of me you filthy creatures i liked dinosaurs better.

  • The water was getting pretty close there.

  • Its absolutely amazing of the power of nature. Its a horrible time to be in Japan. I pray for the lives and and people of Japan. God bless you in this time of trouble. From: Trinidad and Tobago

  • Its absolutely amazing of the power of nature. Its a horrible time to be in Japan. I pray for the lives and and people of Japan. God bless you in this time of trouble.

  • Horrifying power of nature!!! Complete devastation in minutes!

  • were next.

  • This video makes me think a lot more people dies than we yet know.

  • How will these people ever survive? Let's pray for them!

  • Holy shitttttt

  • absolutely horrific, definitely incomprehensible

  • @hotrodmama no it isn't...

  • majestic!

  • damn.....

  • Trying to look at the depth. I used :38 vs. 4:38 with the multi-story building for reference. Looking at the garage building that is about 10 feet tall (8' garage doors standard ht. then open web truss construction. Assuming the building behind is at the same Fin.Flr level, than the first floor of the adjacent building (behind the garage in the video) has water upto the second floor window, but the final water level ~ 15 feet. That's damn impressive in that short of time.

  • think of all the cats and dogs that had no chance

  • Even though I'm looking right at it, my brain has trouble comprehending that.

  • @4ri0ch no need for special effects!

  • Eerie !! Agh, I hope that siren was sounding alot earlier than when we hear it !

  • This is one of the most powerful Tsunami video's I've ever seen !!!

  • I feel like they should call it something other than a tsunami. It just kept rising and rising, that wasn't really a wave. It's like the ocean was going to permanently claim the land or something. This was the truly devastating. Who ever shot this is lucky to be alive. When the water reached the 3rd floor I would have been terrified the building would collapse beneath me. My heart goes out to Japan. Stay strong.

  • @hop208 That is a tsunami, I'm not sure what you think it should be, but that is a tsunami. tsunami's are far more powerful than normal waves, which is why it is a tsunami.

  • @hop208

I think the common misconception is that its just one big wave, which tsunami's aren't, really.

Can't believe how fast that water starts to come. Unbelievable what nature can do.

  • Its unimaginable of how much water is being displaced during this. Absolutely insane.

  • Amazing to watch, those poor people. The buildings there in one part of the video, gone the next. I wonder what building they were standing on to film this.

    Love you Japan!

  • That siren started a lill bit to late....

  • HOLY COW, this is incredible. My heart cries for the people of Japan

  • that is just sickening, it just rises and rises and destoryed the city, and the sirens sounded far too late to save most of the people.
