where do you see him being tense at all? He's got a very relaxed picking hand and his left hand doesn't seem to be having any trouble at all the way he frets everything perfectly.

Plus, he's smiling and laughing when he plays guitar -- i don't think you could be any less tense then this guy.

Daniel is a fantastic drumer. But it is another case of of his ability far outshines his band. Unfortunately the Nickleback stuff manages to pay the bills. Its the way of the world. Look for good things from Daniel in the future.

Read again; I never called him "shit." I said how far down the list is he.

He's an ok drummer, and to be honest, this is the best stuff I've heard from him, but it's still just ok. This is supposed to be some jazz fusion band, and all Daniel does is play some rock beats, jazzed up by some fills. There is nothing jazzy or fusion in his playing. It's just the same rock beats he always does. Case in point: 2:18; yeah, he does that beat ALL THE TIME. I mean, show some creativity.

you're probably a travis barker fan or something pathetic. The beat is good so he uses it a lot....Similarly to how guitarists use similar scales in their solos...its not a lack of skill/originality its just what works works....if you had a guitar lick that drove the crowd wild you'd fit it in on every show.

My man, I'm anything BUT a Travis Barker fan. I'm a Danny Carey Fan, a Gavin Harrison fan, a Carter Beauford fan, a Dennis Chambers fan, a Jojo Mayer fan; you know, ORIGINAL drummers. The beat is generic, and played out, it's not the best beat he could make, or maybe it is. Point is, the beat is not original, nothing he does is original, therefore, he isn't original. Sure, he's a competent drummer, but that's about it. I aspire towards those virtuosos.
