Ummm...yeah, programming anything is really boring visually. I can't see anyone getting excited about programming anything especially a bunch of people who play with macs all day...So i give them kudos for making this look sweet plus the fact that they selected some kickass music for this part of the film. At least they didn't do a typical cliche hacking scene with tunnels and colorfull worm holes ala lawnmower man.

Lots complained about how this scene was unrealistic. I do programming for a living and I can tell you, watching some guy in a movie *actually* making software, would be VERY BORING! What they have done is represented the process/structure of making software visually, and done so quite well I think. If they were to actually show some guy sitting down with a C++ compiler, writing some complicated program... it would be boring. o_o
