According to the sound the transmission was in Comfort -modus (C) and not in Sports modus (S). This is a huge diffirence! In S the transmissions pulls to 7200 rpm, in C till 6000 rpm. In S the kickdown is much more agressive... So not an equal match... :)
Something is obviously wrong with that C63. At Gustavs event at the release of the E60 M5, I raced a E55 sedan and and E55 wagon with my C32 AMG, I ended up 3-4 carlenghts behind both E55s when we finished the race. That a C63 is as slow as my C32 is not possible. Either the driver was doing something seriously wrong, or the car is a lemon.
Ah well, you never know I guess... :) My experience with the C63 is that its much faster than the C32. And from a few races this summer it was almost keeping up with the 997 turbo (about as much difference as with the E55 in the vid), and a 997 carrera 4s didnt stand a chance between 90-200. E60 M5 was pretty much as fast. Thats why I find this result strange:)
Anyway, the gtboard vids are probably by far the best "street race" tests there is on the web right now. Keep up the good work :)
@MarcusStromberg83 This result is not strange and i ll tell you why.The E55 it is a well known fact runs low 12s in the quarter mile and a c63 runs 12.5 maybe 12.4 so the two or three tenths difference shows up here the e55 having more top end thus pulling away.

i've raced a c55 in my c32 and there was no more than 2 cars lengths between us and i have the estate version, no way is the c55 that much quicker mate especially from a rolling start around 30mph, and infact just prior to us actually starting alongside each other i beat him in a short sprint from about 30mph to 70mph before we slowed down for traffic lights!

No its not, the funny thing is that E63 has 630NM and 514/525 hp (525hp, 2010) and the E55 has 476 hp but 700nm! From 0- its very even but after a while the e55 will win, the E55 as you all know has a kompressor, the E63 doesn't have a kompressor or a turbo/bi-turbo as poeple think, it has a 6.2L V8 engine that produces 2006-2009 507hp and 630nm, late2009-2010 525hp and 630nm! Thats all folks!

The e55 has a lot more torque and more power than the c63. The weight is not that much more so why could the e55 not be faster? First of all, any new amg has more torque than an M5, second,drag race= mostly torque based you only have 40 hp extra than me which doesnt really make a difference due to the heavyness of your "racecar". e55 hp/tq : 469/516
c63 hp/tq: 451/443
e55 weights 438lbs more. but carries 18 hp more and 73 tq more than the C63 amg... Not sure how that e55 would pull ahead like that with 400+ lbs of weight and horrific aerodynamics.

The e55 has a lot more torque and more power than the c63. The weight is not that much more so why could the e55 not be faster? Don't forget the aerodynamics, gearing etc. The massive torque of the e55 has beaten many fast cars so why should the c63 be different? Why would a "biased BMW board" race 2 benzs and not show an M5 beating the c63 instead? Think about that.

Shit theres a video on the net of the new M3 beating the m5, and almost every review puts the c63 beating the m3 in straight line so you go figure the rest. the 1/4 the v10 bimmers are faster,but guess what beats them all ? C63AMG. 3.9 0 - 60 which an m6 will never get or an m5 for that matter and a 11.9 - 12.1 1/4mile,all this from a car that had its horsepower delimited,one ecu remap and ur pushing around 550hp as oppsed to its stock 450 hp,imagine how fast it'd be then? hmmm do some research before you talk nonsense =)

The slowest e60 m5 I have ever seen was a 12.3 in the 1/4 which easily beats the m3. What m5 has run slower than a 12.7? The m5 will always beat it's little brother.

The only race that a Mercedes has a 100% chance of winning is if it races another Mercedes!
Unless they have a 10Litre, V12 twin turbo engine and then and only then they may have a chance of beating other cars.
Mercedes are very good in hiding defiencies of their cars -they just plonk a MASSIVE engine in it and hope the torque and the noise will distract the driver into(falsely) believing that he/she has an "incredible" car.

Iv raced a C63 in my E60 M5.. They are similar off the line - but after 7 - 8 seconds into the race.. the 507bhp V10 really shows the V8 wer it is on the food chain! The M5 leaves the C63 like its nothing!

First of all, any new amg has more torque than an M5, second,drag race= mostly torque based you only have 40 hp extra than me which doesnt really make a difference due to the heavyness of your "racecar". The v10 doesnt really show any difference at all until you pass 150 mph. So what are you arguing about? in other words any new amg would own the shit out of your m5 from 0-150 mph. And maybe then, your v10 will come in handy. Not to mention a renntech c63,sl63,cls63 would blow your doors off...

No - The C63 cant touch the M5 end of story. Ur an idiot with out a clue if u think otherwise! The E63 and SL63, CLS63.. 65's of this world are different. U have the starter - the small boy 63! Iv had good race with a C63 and my best friends RS4 and a sales friend from BMW in a E92 M3. I didnt have a problem smashing all of them! They are all very close low down.. but they cannot keep up once the race gets past the 7 - 10second mark. The Power the V10 makes just leaves then and you for DEAD!

"power of the V10" I think you either never had a V10 or v12 before or you simply talk out of your ass. V10 engine mostly helps out at really high speeds like i said, for example, passing 140-150 mph. Now if your just gonna throw arguments without showing any proof at all of your nonsense and some numbers. Hey I understand its hard to think there is faster cars out there than yours because your magazine racing. The truth is after 60-80 mph IF and I mean IF your in front of a M5 thats where it ends. I have raced cls55's and 63's which are faster than your car and beat them past 80. Remeber the torque and 1/4 mile numbers mean nothing on the street. The M5 redlines at 8250 and has crazy gearing. Thats why most ppl call bs cuz they cant get that even though the #s favor the amg the m5 is faster

haha so M5 engine is so good that it needs a button to get a real 500HP???So why driving more under P400?To prevent fast decaying of that V10?Did you ever think about? yes M5/M6 engines are the most unreliable engines built by BMW ever!!!!That why AMG are better selling cars and you can see them driving for years, this M5 all which have more than 100k km (if they get there) are for scrapheap :P Oh yes and the sound is like a sound of Civic VTi (not that Honda is bad, it can compare with V10 :)

They are amazing machines in what they are good at, but each place to who it belongs, and i think you guys are not basing your "statements" on proven theory, but on "opinions".
