You should put a ribbon on the deer so the great white hunters don't shoot her. Also, hunters will shoot your dog for chasing deer (guess that's their right). Please be careful during hunting season time. From past experience, the pink ribbon around the neck works. The cars are another thing.

Isobel, I wonder if you could give her a collar - much like a dog collar but lightweight - that would "identify" her as being domesticated? It might give hunters pause...Check with a wildlife expert to see if that's recommended or if it would be too constraining for her. Consider it. I don't know.

She's a lucky girl that she found her way to just the right family to live with. Kate seems to understand that she needs to be gentler with this new "dog" in her family. I'll watch over and over.
