  • I just ran across your video (really late) but I hope your still doing it, you really touched me, and i want to thank you for putting this up, these are personal issues and your life that you allow others into. so thanks for the knowlege, so how about a video update...you look so great in this one jus curious to see how ur doing now.

  • You are so right about food and its addictions. When I really thought about it, I scheduled most of my life about when and what I would eat. Good on ya for saying it how it is.

  • Hey Boss..thanks for keeping it real. The hardest part seems to be admitting it, facing it, and doing something about it. I'm really happy for this community and everyone who is doing just that...facing it and moving forward.

  • I am so glad that you have done something about your situation. The statistics are alarming.

  • I've had my surgery for 4 weeks and I know I had an addiction but excercise has really helped me. I've already lost alot of weight and feel so much better now. -Christa

  • man, you're brilliant. You just about nailed how i used to be.

  • Wonderful!

  • very good video without cheap oil we will have to grow our food more locally and everyone will have to garden and work in the fields .

how the hell will they do hard work if they cant get out of bed ,keep strong in the future your going to need it

    best wishes

  • Hey Boss. I finally made it to the Losers' Bench this past Tuesday. Thank you for your insight in this video.

  • great job!

  • I agree! A drug addict can stop doing drugs, yes they struggle but can stay clean, they don't have to do drugs to live. With food, I mean you can't stop eating!!! You have to eat to live!!!

  • You're looking FINE Boy! Great video!! :)Amyxo

  • My name is Robert and I'm a food addict. People just don't understand that to some people food is a 'drug', sometimes I wish I was a heroine addict or cokehead, at least then everyone would understand. That is why most 'diets' fail, until you deal with the phsychological side of your addiction you are doomed to fall back into your old habits eventually, trust me I know. I've fallen so many times I've lost count.

  • So Robert did you get the surgery or thinking about getting it?

  • No I haven't had it but I want it REALLY bad. Unfortunately it is a direct exclusion in my ins. policy.

  • No I haven't had it but I want to, unfortunately it is a direct exclusion in my ins. policy.

  • Hey Robert ~ My insurance policy had the same exclusion...I ended up paying for my own insurance that I know would take it!! But it was worth it 100%. Take care ~ Chris

  • I've been considering that option. What Co. did you go with? I've looked at several online but they all had the same exclusion.

  • I have to say that I really love your videos. You are very helpful and seem you have a great head on your shoulders. I'm gonna have to favorite this one. Very insightful video.

  • It's funny, because I've been talking a LOT about this with my friends and family. For me, it wasn't even necessarily food that was the addiction - it was the feeling of fullness after I had stuffed myself with greasy food. (chinese food was EVIL for me!) It IS amazing how your view of food changes. The amount seems ridiculous, and the feeling of overeating is PAIN now - not a comfortable fullness. Anyhow, great, great video - congrats on all your success!

  • Awesome video!! I know my addiction is bread and it was killing me. I don't say was my addiction, because I know that for the rest of my life, even though I now have the surgery, I am going to have to be careful of it. Thanks for this video.

  • Very insightful Boss, you are a very smart young man, thanks for sharing your thoughts. Monica

  • You hit the nail on the head!!! Food is an addiction and for me, it also seems to be a habit...sort of like when I used to smoke. I would get up in the morning and think about my first cigarette. Being morbidly obese (prior to WLS) I would get up and think about my next meal or snack or where to go for dinner. Great video and insight into the dangers and risks associated with this very destructive addiction!! Thank you!!

  • I feel you! you are so right!

  • Man Boss...you make the best videos!! I have to favorite this one too!! You should start a mentor program...you are so inspirational. You could/can help a lot of people with your down -to-earth advice and your motivational energy. So glad you made it here to YT!! Take care ~ Chris

  • great video! This really hit home - I too was a food addict and junk food was my number one vice!

  • I totally understand. I was addicted to carbs. I didn't care too much about sugar but I LOVED my bread. I loved the video. I love these informative videos.

  • great video! I too had an unhealthy relationship with food and a comorbidity (diabetes). I had my surgery on 6/2 and I know it is important once I get to where I can have solid food - I can't go back to eating fast food or fried stuff. You are so right about it being a help for us to lose weight-but you also have to control your mind-not give in to head hunger. Being educated on what you are eating is a big part of it!! And of course having great support ! thanks for sharing !

  • I NEEDED TO HEAR THIS!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • Great video, although not all of us are fat cus we feed our faces constantly lol I am this way due to health problems and limited mobility, so whatever I did eat just sat there making fat, I also went w/o eating til late at night and by body was starving and started storing the fat to survive. Not eating right, enough and able to exercise got me this way :(

Although I am now eating better and working myself up to a daily exercise routine AND watching the calories, sugar, carbs! And losing! YAY!

  • This video has made in on my fav list! Thank you BossHogg! It's amazing how the calories pile up without us realizing it. This surgery sure turns on the light bulb!

  • Great video Boss as usual!! You are so right!! :)

  • I agree with you 100% about food being an addiction. At least drug addicts don't have to see crack commercials every 2 minutes lol.. And not all people are overweight cuz of how they eat some have medical conditions such as myself. Not saying I didn't like food but I didn't sit there and eat a bucket of KFC or a whole pizza.

  • That is true some people are not fat because of food!
